That is true--a Cook County Judge would not have sentenced him to prison, but he should have gotten a felony conviction and some probation with some legitimate community service. Now he got exoneration,and he got credit for hanging out with Jesse Jackson for a few hours. As for forfeiting the bond, that's no penalty, because it would have gone to his attorney for fees, anyway. Disgraceful.
Haven't heard a peep from the new AG in Springfield so far......

She thought she was going to be a federal judge on the backs of decent coppers and ASA's and a few actually innocent defendants.

The tragedy of losing Alvarez was gaining Foxx. Which is a moot point because she's on her way out the door as well.

Not voting for Alvarez was one of the smartest decisions I ever made.
Maybe if you were smart enough NOT to support the Cook County Democratic machine, you may have had a better candidate than Anita Alvarez and Kim Foxx, two of the WORST states attorneys in the history of that office.
