Driving home a few moments ago, listening to Limbaugh on WLS, a caller claiming to be a Cook County Sheriff implied that Police Supt. Eddie Johnson, purposely poisoned the well during the course of the progress of the Smullette investigation by providing news media updates on the case.
He drew lines connecting the call that Foxx received from Michelle Obama's chief of staff, from Rahm to Johnson. Everyone has free shots at Eddie Johnson on this blog, but in a highly publicized case like this I found this highly improbable and the yarn spun by this caller struck me as bullshit. He waited until near the end of his call to identify himself as a Cook County sheriff, which my takeaway was that he was an appointed employee, working either in the courts or corrections. I'd like to think a member of the Sheriff's police would think better than postulate what he thinks the workings of the CPD are. Been retired for nine years, I'd like to think a superintendent wouldn't have that many detectives assigned to a case he intended to throw. Somebody tell me I'm right.

I just saw the CPD press conference with Rahm Emmanuel, addressing Crimesha Foxxxxx dropping charges against Jussie Smollett. I will now and forever hate her for making me do something that I never thought I'd have to do in my entire life: I ENTIRELY AGREE 1000% WITH RAHM EMMANUEL ON THIS ONE!! GOD. DAMN. IT. HE HAD LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LEFT IN HIS TERM OF OFFICE AND THEY MADE ME AGREE WITH EVERYTHING HE SAID TODAY!! EVERYTHING SINGLE THING!! How will I sleep at night? What will I tell my children?
I call for the Attorney General of the State of Illinois to appoint a Special Prosecutor, and with a change of Venue, to look into S.A. The State had to drop the case. Foxx fucked something up - the recusal and the admission to meddling with the case indicates this - and it was only the tip of the iceberg. Had this gone to trial, she would have been called to the witness stand to explain her office’s procedures and everyone would have known the truth about her competence.
And me thinks it is funny how Kim Foxx went to the Oscars of all places while her office was involved in the prosecution of a Hollywood-type guy. I’m not saying there was collusion - just saying the whole situation has bad “optics” - especially after she dropped all charges.

Joe Maggots and the Cook County States Attorneys office let a child killer go and gave her a certificate of innocence ontop of it her name is Nicole Harris who brought a civil suit against the detectives and she lost. So 12 jurors in her criminal case and 12 jurors n her civil case found her guilty but the states attorney dropped the ball 2 times
