Party! (UPDATE)
Remember, these are our betters. Our rulers. And if they want to be loud, then they get to be loud:
- Chicago police officers responded late Saturday to a call of a loud residential party with city officials in attendance.
Officers were called about 10:32 p.m. to the residence in the 4500 block of North Damen Avenue, Chicago police said. City officials were confirmed to be present at the gathering, but police declined to confirm their identities.
Governor J.B. Pritzker was also in attendance at the party but his spokesperson says he left at 10:15 p.m., Rich Miller of CapitolFax said in a tweet.
Officers coded the call after responding, police said, meaning that no paperwork was submitted to document the incident. City ordinances state that officers can’t issue citations for noise complaints before 11 p.m. on weekends, police said.
But good neighbors might be winding things up at a residential party in case any neighbors had to be up early Sunday for work or church or hustling for votes, right? Just whose home was this at that JayBee the Hutt was in attendance?
You want to be loud and obnoxious, it's only fair that neighbors know who exactly is hosting. Besides, if they're heavy enough to have the governor around, they're heavy enough to get the streets plowed, paved, trees trimmed, etc.
UPDATE: It was Huberman's wedding. Big surprise. Why wasn't Shortshanks there?

Aren't noise citations issued by Environmental Control after noise is measured by a decibel monitor/reader? Just wondering. OR if citation signed by a complainant.

Yeah right. Sounds like when college students use a
friend's condo for a crash party. Pretty soon the crowd
swells and you got 30 people on the deck just outside
the sliding glass doors. Then the deck gives way and
the whole story is on the 6 O'Clock news. DAAAAAAA.
