Emanuel famously acknowledged that there is a code of silence in the department in the furor over his handling of the Laquan McDonald shooting video.
But that didn’t stop Johnson from testifying under oath during a lawsuit deposition that he was unaware of any such code to protect officers accused of misconduct.
On Friday, Preckwinkle cracked the door open for Johnson to save his $260,004-a-year job just as the department released crime figures for February that showed homicides and shootings continuing to decline.
So if Special Ed publicly cuts off his own balls to appease Prickwrinkle's twisted progressive racist world view, he might be allowed to stay on. What a fucking deal!

I worked for the Sup. when he was a Sgt. in A/4 Homicide, and I can tell you that he was a stand up guy then and he still is today. Don’t be
fooled by the media and political nonsense that surrounds the Office of the Superintendent. The Sup. has not been neutered by anyone and the CPD is lucky to have him. Quit the bitching and be glad for what you have, as it may be snatched from you in short order.
I’m voting for Preckwinkle, I’m tired of the slow burn destruction of the job, our pensions, and the city. We need to let the Left have their way so we can hit rock bottom. At least then we will have a clear picture of how to rebuild or survive. Any other way is just a slow roll to the same end. I've been on the job over 20 years and there hasn't been a code of silence for probably 30 or 40 years now. I know it doesn't meet the progressive meme that we protect each other regardless of the stakes, but even they know there is no code of silence, it's just not politically popular to say so, it doesn't fit their narrative.

Why haven’t any of the bosses taken action against a certain Street Deputy’s driver who was present during a Narcotics/Gambling raid a couple of weeks ago in 006. Any one of the several officers on scene or any other regular copper would be at call back by now.
Supposedly an outside unit executed a search warrant and found weapons, drugs, large amounts of cash and a full gambling operation in the rear of some day care center where this particular driver and allegedly several other CPD and other County Police bosses frequent. This apparently goes alllllllll the way up but no one does shit about it because the entire system is nonreformable at this time. We are wondering if this driver has spoken to his boss and informed him if he goes down so does EVEYONE else? We’re also hearing that there were about 30 people present who’s cash was confiscated and that they were pissed off and are talking because they lost thousands. It’s also alleged that there was a hidden camera in this place for security purposes that has months of footage. Hope the rumors that some bosses frequent this place isn’t true and it’s all BS. That’s all we need is another black eye for our department. Anyone else have any more info about this?

When one of them becomes they mayor-all of these bosses- AND MANY OTHERS- will be getting called down to the office of the new mayor. And not in a good way. And not for a good reason.
