Past few weeks it’s been almost impossible to get a search warrant when the only thing being searched for were drugs. Narcotic has a total of 29 search warrants denied last week alone for drugs. Things are getting bad.
I am not surprised. Crimesha herself looks a bit like having a joint or two before bed. Why bother then?

The deputy supervisor is also a part time suburban police officer who attended a Lead Homicide Investigator course while he was supposed to be working. He called in to the county phone “swipe” system as if he was working from home. Good guy but foolish to think he could double dip and get away with it.

That Peace Circle Mediation, also known as Restorative justice community court needs to be exposed for being a big farce. Those defendants on the call don’t even show up and no warrants are issued for their arrests. After about five or six times of the defendants not showing up, they will refer the case back to the criminal courtroom at 26th street that it came from. They send the “community liaisons” out to find the defendants to remind them to show up. Every Thursday at the UCAN building at 3605 West Fillmore at 9:30 AM you can watch this joke of social justice. It’s a big waste of all this grant money.

Yes, nice thought, but there are unintended consequences. First, in the " community" there are many good people who never engage in criminal activity. Maybe there lifestyle or culture is different, but they are not criminals and deserve to live their lives without fear. Second, the street thugs in the inner city are entering decent neighborhoods, black, white and latino, with greater frequency to find their victims. These thugs need to be put away, arrested, prosecuted and incarceratied quickly. But, with Foxx and Preckwinkile and their ilk running things with the complicity of the liberal media, I am afraid that is a lost cause for some time to come. Restoritive justice and other left wing programs can work in a limited fashion. Yup , However if the rules of the legally binding agreement or contract are being broken by the City , one would ask if it's null and void correct ? So of course you couldn't do anything illegal but then again with measles outbreaks and such there might be a massive amount of people who work in and with the public that may have to take extra care or who might be exposed to some of these highly contagious diseases that just might not be available to work.....

Ms. Foxx and the other “restorative justice” advocates see crime as affecting ONLY the criminal (if the criminal is black) and ignore the victims, which is odd, since most of the victims are “people of color”. And the canard that drug crimes are “victimless” ignores the overdoses, neglected children, robbery victims, burglary victims, people injured and killed by stoned drivers and people on drug-fueled rampages, etc.

When State Attorney Daley took a former Chicago Police Officer and current felony A.S.A. out of the trial division and put him in charge of the money forfeiture unit, the amount of money seized by lawful court orders turned into the many millions of dollars of revenue that the law said must be spent on narcotics prosecutions. The boss of our unit would come around every year and beg us to request things like "a second personal computer to use for narcotics prosecutions or else we would lose the money". In my 22+ years in the C.C.S.A.O., I approved hundreds of search warrants and over 95% did not need any legal improvements. I ended up rejecting 1% of the search warrants. The current policies of reducing narcotics prosecutions will just end up in more addicts, more crime by addicts seeking revenue to support their addictions, costly expansion of treatment programs for addicts, and a drop in the labor participation rate. The States Attorney is changing the line item related to narcotics prosecution from the revenue side to the government expenditure side.

Exactly! In every movie or television show where there is a courtroom scene the judge is black about 90% of the time and the other 10% of the time the judge is a female. Never a white male. Same thing applies to the Chief of police, Capt, Lt or mayor in movies and television.
When this all goes south, especially with the impending implementation of "let the criminal walk" criminal justice reform, remember who your real enemy is. Hint. It's not the criminal.

Sgt ML has had plenty of ADs. Should have never passed SWAT school. You can thank double merit Tom Lamb for that fiasco. The “Lamb” continued to cover up all his fuck ups at SWAT. To 8:54 Your worn about several things in your response. One is those in community that refuse to an ominously name the shooters deserve to live in fear. Until the community steps up and demands that their own stop nothing will change in terms of their safety. Second thing is at this time they are killing each other with regularly and I LOL evertt me I read about the latest victims. Once again the shootings are largely confined to theiron communities and most know is behind the violence but choose to remain silent. Yes they are branching out but I believe that will be controlled this summer as it is beginning to become public knowledge that downtown has become unsafe. Also believe that many are becoming very dissatisfied with the current Democratic response to the rising crime. Finally believe that mantra CCW are just waiting for the opportunity to render an attacker room temperature. Once that begins to happen with some regularity the boys will be more careful where they hunt. The only good banger is a room temperature banger.

The deputy supervisor is also a part time suburban police officer who attended a Lead Homicide Investigator course while he was supposed to be working. He called in to the county phone “swipe” system as if he was working from home. Good guy but foolish to think he could double dip and get away with it.

NOPE, what is foolish is making SALARY Employees punch into a clock everyday as if they are paid HOURLY. Preckwinckle started the "punching in" for SALARY employees yet when ASA's work over 40 hours, they do not get pay and a half like the clerks, support staff or courthouse janitor. Instead, the ASA works 60 hours and gets paid the same, but better be there at 830 and not leave before 430 OR ELSE. LMAO!!!
Furthermore, ASA's take their cases HOME with them. The cases are on their mind before the go to bed and when they wake up. When ASA's go on vacation, they come home to a pile of work. ASA's work odds hours all the time. Not that the dumb amongst you will believe as you think your sh*t don't stink. LASTLY, when on jury trial, they put in 12 hour days on the regular.
YET, the poster cited above thinks the recently fired ASA was foolish and "double dipping". LOL. More like the County was treating their own like garbage. More like the County was looking for an excuse to fire a red-blooded American who loves the stars and stripes and will go toe to toe with any gangbanger and come out on top. The recently fired ASA was a VETERAN, who served overseas, and was dedicated to public service. He was NOT an ASA because he was LAST IN HIS CLASS. Quite the contrary, he was an ASA because he loved getting scum off the street. Which is made evident by the fact that he is also a part time police officer (while also raising his 4 children).
Additionally, with respect to the other posters stating that ASA's are only ASA's because they were last in their class. Wow. What audacity. Shame on you. Did you become a cop for the high paying salary? Did you become a copy because you dreamed of owning a yacht, spending the winter in the south of France and cruising around in a Bentley? Of course not!!
You either became a cop because it fell into your lap or you had an actual PASSION for public service and making this CITY A BETTER PLACE. Not every lawyer is in the profession for the SHEKELS! Some of us goys went to law school with the sole intent of being career prosecutors to work hand in hand with the boys in blue. Yet some of you say such callous, disrespectful insults. SHAME ON YOU.
Believe it or not, ASA's may be the most PRO-POLICE employees in the county. Know your ally vs your enemy.
