- Dozens of protesters gathered Monday afternoon at Union Park to rebuke Chicago’s police union and call for criminal justice reform.
“We are here to call out the hypocrisy of FOP and declare that they are a racist organization and they must be shut down,” said the Rev. Kwame Pitts of Augustana Lutheran Church.
That would appear to be slander...and news to the one-third of the Department that happens to be black. How about FOP sues revrund dumbass and win a church building?

Well golly, that would have been last month when the union released the following statement:
- “The suggestion, implication, or even correlation that the FOP would in any way associate itself with a racist hate group is a sign of just how biased, malevolent, and extreme the media is in their antipathy toward the police,” a police union spokesman said...

Senator Durbin (D) just sent out a letter, on Mar 22, 2019, to religious institutions telling them of the availability of 60 million dollars to be used to secure their institutions against acts of terrorism etc. Mayor Emanuel started the Neighborhood Opportunity Fund which diverts funds from downtown developments to the south and west sides. One of the receivers is the Third Baptist Church of Chicago 1500 W. 95th. St. for a kitchen and banquet facility. Whatever happened to the separation of church and state? There is plenty of money available in state and federal grants available under a variety of programs. One of the biggest complainers of the CPD is US Senator Bobby Rush who is also one of the biggest takers of taxpayer dollars. Remember the health center he got for his church. There is plenty of missing monies from his programs that he cannot explain. Do some investigating, the biggest complainers are the biggest crooks!
When she takes office, if she is smart, Mayor Lightfoot needs to stick a fork in their (the groups condemning the police) ballon and anouncing she will support her police department. Otherwise she won't have a working police department and anarchy will prevail. The rank and file are fed up with this crap. Either you have a lawful city or you don't, it's her choice.

If your first and only argument is to call someone a racist, it’s a sign you haven’t thought through your points of view very well. I’m not a cop, but as a citizen of Chicago I check this blog and CWB daily to get a real sense of risk my wife and two boys are under living here and to figure out when it’s time to move to the burbs.
I’m a big supporter of cops, I think we should have more police and pay them more as a greater police presence is desperately needed (along with massive awakening in poor neighborhoods that their chosen political leaders are corrupt and sell their constituents on a gospel of victimization).
That being said, as I watch the FOP operate on behalf of CPD, they seem tone deaf and prone to making ham-handed mistakes. As many commenters have posted, ~25% of CPD is African American, ~25% is Hispanic. I’m not for racial quotas, but why can’t FOP leadership look like it mirrors that makeup better?
Kevin Graham is NOT a good public speaker. Why not create an FOP a spokesperson role, find some badass Latino beat cop that’s a father and good husband and give him the job of calling out Kim Foxx and her bullshit “woke” politicization of the SA office?

Why does everyone think Lightfoot is some friend to the police?!! First off, she’s a democrat. When my white grandparents came from Europe in 1914 (to escape a real war), they STILL had to get sponsored by relatives here who vouched that they had a place to stay and a means to get work. They DID NOT come here and jump on a Freeby Train that includes free healthcare, free education for all your kids, free food, free phone, free housing, free waiver of school fees, and the list goes on. Immigration that this county was built upon is very very different from today’s extremely tax expensive migrants. They can come but should NOT get anything free .... I mean fucking nothing just like my grandparents. In my neighborhood, which has good schools, I have to send my daughter to a private school b/c the schools are now filled with male migrants that treat woman and girls like second world garbage. ***All you have to know as a Commander is how to come up with "bullshit" numbers...how last yr, or 2yrs ago or 3 or 4 or 5 compared to this yrs numbers and if you find a yr in a category where your numbers dropped youll stay! Of course you have P.O.'s working all their shift coming up with the stats. This dept all is does is go back in time to find anything that looks good for them..lets look forward not back...learn from mistakes and move forward.

It's the 100th anniversary of similar Communist/Bolshevik street riots, revolutionary terror in Russia, Ukraine, Central Europe and Germany - these led to the takeover of Russia by the Communists that led to the murder of at least 30 million people according to the British Historian Robert Conquest (See the Great Terror).
It's also the 50th anniversary of the 1968-69 Leftist riots in our Chicago. I was 7 years old at the time and I was disgusted by the American media (Cronkite, Dan Rather) coverage of this Leftist riots, terror.
Mayor Daley Sr. as so disgusted with the American Media's coverage of the 1968 Democrat convention that he basically expelled the American television media from every filming in his Chicago.

While attending St Jude last week, I notice the CO of Mass Transit Cindy Samm was not present.
The unit was led by a Lietenent at the last minute. I heard she decided to go to Florida for some R&R with her new husband. I have never, I mean never in 3o years on the job ever heard of a CO bypassing St. Jude!!!
