Another Wisconsin Death

  • Milwaukee Police say an off-duty officer was killed after a crash at 60th and Capitol early Tuesday morning.

He’s been identified as 27-year-old Officer Kou Her.

Police say at 1:35 a.m., the officer was hit by a suspect at the intersection while driving home from work.

Witnesses tell police the suspect was traveling "at a high rate of speed" and drove through a red light, hitting the officer's car.

Police say witnesses not only stayed at the scene, but were able to help officers take the suspect into custody by telling them where the driver was heading.
And big surprise here:
  • Police didn't say if the suspect was operating while intoxicated at the time, but did say he has four OWI convictions in the state of Wisconsin, the most recent in May 2017. He's on probation for that conviction.
Prayers and condolences to our Milwaukee PD friends.

Seems like our lenient court system has found its way into Wisconsin as well.
All at the expense of another life lost, this time another brother in blue.
Rest in Peace Officer Kou Her.

It takes over 30 years for these things to kick in,

Big prayers for this and the other recently murdered officer's souls and may their families find solace, peace and God's love throughout these terrible days.

God bless and keep our blue who stand up for us, throughout the country.

This is so heartbreaking. Too many too often and so preventable.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
If you think DUI is too tough, or too much paperwork to do, then please find an officer who will write the DUI! We are not immune, we are more at risk because we are out there on the streets. I understand the hesitation, but you can save countless lives with one DUI arrest!

If officers towed suspects car the week prior when pulled over like they should of, this wouldn't of happened. Hopefully they will follow procedures in future
