Lightgroot "Cares"
- The No. 2 man in the Chicago Police Department is in hot water with Mayor Lori Lightfoot for taking a family vacation approved and paid for months ago but now in violation of the mayor’s edict that none of the top brass take time off during the violent summer months.
Lightfoot refused to say whether First Deputy Superintendent Anthony Riccio’s job was in jeopardy after he took a trip during the first week of June. But it sure sounds like it.
“That would be incredibly disappointing to me if that happened because I gave a very specific directive that no exempt should be taking vacation during the summer,” Lightfoot told reporters at an unrelated event Friday.
“If that happened, that’ll be something that we have to have a serious conversation about,” she said
Keep this in mind when the orders come down about "restricted time due" and "cancelled RDO's" and whatever else the City and Department can do to make you miserable and disallow you the meager-est amount of time off - even when planned, paid for and approved two-thirds of a year in advance.
We guess the papers are calling him the "No. 2 man in the Department" because he's about to get shit on by a worthless politician who has already been on one west coast and one east coast trip to collect campaign cash from people she doesn't work for.

I can care less about A.R. and his exempt position. What I will say is if a member of our department, of whatever rank, wants to take time off to enjoy with their family. If it’s approved then 100% enjoy your time off. People always complain how top heavy CPD is. And I agree with that. But a person should be able to get away. Life is too short. Oh and F U groot.

According to their family spokesperson, a lawsuit might be initiated because they are a Spanish-only speaking family and they were terribly disrespected by the CPD. No specific examples of the disrepect were offered.

I have some news for all of you Police Officers regarding Lorrie. When she was the Head of OPS SHE WAS HATED. For one thing she is the typical black gay female who is educated. She came into OPS with a attitude. She looked down on most all of the black females who worked there, especially the good looking ones. The only ones who like her were the females who were either gay or bi-sexual. If you look at who she promoted, she promoted one gay Hispanic female, one gay White female, and one Black female. Her second in command was a 11th ward drunk political hack who ran the day to day operations. She hated him but because he came from the 11th Ward she could not touch him. (She tried several times but the Mayor's Chief of Staff told her before he goes you go) As far as Investigations were concerned she had a lawyers approach to every one of them. She had no concept of the "gray" area. In other words had no street creed. She despised the FOP back then especially she thought that as Police Officer should not have the opportunity to speak with a FOP Representative prior to any questioning. There were several investigator who she could rely on to make the case to fire someone. Don't be fooled about her being a-political. There were several black alderpersons who she frequently meet with along with the several very high profile "Religious Leaders". The only good thing I got to say about her was she did try to or did fire some very bad police officers. Before anyone gets on their high hoarse and question the last statement there are some bad Police Officers. She try to or did fire Police Officers who were sticking up or shaking down dope dealers, shaking down business owners, running illegal gambling operations, and Police Officers who were bagmen for a couple of alderpersons. In case anyone wants to know how I got this information is very simple: I worked there for over 20 years and in Lightfoots tenure, I worked there the whole time she was the head of OPS. I still have friends there and speak to them frequently.
I have to admit I thought Mayor Lightfoots speech on election night offered a glimpse of hope for a safer city and a better relationship with city hall. It’s 2019 and I was honestly hoping we could celebrate a Mayor who happened to be African American and Gay who could reach out like never before and forge a working relationship between a diverse and damaged city and unite people. In reality she has proved herself to a mouthpiece for corrosive ideologies that are allowing anarchy and violence to thrive and fly in the face of the stability we could achieve together. To say I completely underestimated her hatred of the police is an understatement. If this trend stays for 4 years it could lead to riots that make Memphis look like a pillow fight. We saw in Ferguson and Baltimore what happens when a person of power and authority misleads a low information community into hell and destruction. Instead of a leader who happens to be a proud Gay Women and African American we elected a mean spirited confrontational radical who HATES those who aren’t.

You obviously never worked for him, otherwise you would know he is rare breed of boss who can quote all the G/O's, but still give you an answer as to how things should be done. I have some news for all of you Police Officers regarding Lorrie. When she was the Head of OPS SHE WAS HATED. For one thing she is the typical black gay female who is educated. She came into OPS with a attitude. She looked down on most all of the black females who worked there, especially the good looking ones. The only ones who like her were the females who were either gay or bi-sexual. If you look at who she promoted, she promoted one gay Hispanic female, one gay White female, and one Black female. Her second in command was a 11th ward drunk political hack who ran the day to day operations. She hated him but because he came from the 11th Ward she could not touch him. (She tried several times but the Mayor's Chief of Staff told her before he goes you go) As far as Investigations were concerned she had a lawyers approach to every one of them. She had no concept of the "gray" area. In other words had no street creed. She despised the FOP back then especially she thought that as Police Officer should not have the opportunity to speak with a FOP Representative prior to any questioning. There were several investigator who she could rely on to make the case to fire someone. Don't be fooled about her being a-political. There were several black alderpersons who she frequently meet with along with the several very high profile "Religious Leaders". The only good thing I got to say about her was she did try to or did fire some very bad police officers. Before anyone gets on their high hoarse and question the last statement there are some bad Police Officers. She try to or did fire Police Officers who were sticking up or shaking down dope dealers, shaking down business owners, running illegal gambling operations, and Police Officers who were bagmen for a couple of alderpersons. In case anyone wants to know how I got this information is very simple: I worked there for over 20 years and in Lightfoots tenure, I worked there the whole time she was the head of OPS. I still have friends there and speak to them frequently.
