A bunch of people have been wondering why Groot hasn't called for the resignation of aldercreature Carrie Austin.
Give it time - it was only a raid. No indictment yet, so no calls for resignation.
Besides, Groot has to start interviewing worthy successors.

I like the ideal i read from someone else's comment early in week. As they die, or get convicted their district should dissolve into other districts till you all get down to about a third of what you have now.
If Lightbutt is making a list, she should save it.
I have a feeling she will need a few more names off it.
Agreed, you need to be charged at the very least. Hopefully a couple more aldermen in the waiting for the feds to show up.

It is so amazing to me in all the years that this city being corrupt and nothing was really done about it. I mean you had a few alderscum indicted and jailed. The thing that amazes me is that the 3 high powered alder people get nabbed at the same time and Lori Lighthouse (because she is so bright, just ask her) enters the Mayors office...I don't know am I paranoid or does it look and sound like a concerted effort to kill the old machine and put in what I believe is the people and folks machine!!!

In his defense, his tumbler program is probably the only meaningful activity created for urban youth, and if he walked away from that program, some fucking radical retard would fuck it up in month. So Carrie Austin says about Solis, that you dont wear a wire on your fellow council members, you just dont do that. So as an elected official, sworn to uphold the law and report corruption, she is saying you don't cooperate with law enforcement? I don't get it. And once it got out that Solis was wearing a wire, they wait how long to raid Austin? I'll bet you she went through 20 paper shredders, destroyed multiple burner phones and reburied many skeletons.

Serving that warrant worked up a thirst..... hence the taking of the water bottles.
Lightfoot did take away all committee assignments from Austin, but so far has not called for her resignation. I have a feeling that Lightfoot has been tipped by some friends in the US Attorney's office on some ongoing city hall investigations. But, I also think the mayor will play the race card even more then her predecessors .

heres how it goes.
1)Developer number 1 come in with some million dollars scam to fix a certain ward.
2) developer meet with chief of staff of alderman
3) developer tell staffer a few of the units condos or building with be discounted for special people.
4) these units are then loaded with top shelf stove,frdige sofa,etc etc.
5) SMART Alderman then have daughter,son, mom, dad, cousin, baby mama or some sort of relation with low income signs up.
6) developer give the poor relative a special low interest loan to help NO MONEY DOWN.
7)SMART Alderman hold unit for a few years and sell them making 100's of thousand bribe for approving development which will be quite a nice bribe.
keep in mind the alderman save the developers millions with FREE TIF cash, waiver of sewer few, rezoning/up zoning and a host of other goodies all with are taxes.

My husband said the same thing. It’s the changing of the guard. The new crooks getting rid of the old crooks. Only these new assholes are going to be worse. At least the old guard had an agreed upon understanding of how to conduct business, an unspoken code they adhered to. What you’re about to witness is the implementation of sweeping ghetto behavior from high ranking officials and illogical policies devoid of any facts or fiduciary competency. Glad I left years ago.

The press is full of calls for “higher-density” and TOD (transit-oriented development) in some of the hipster wards. Of course each w a handful of low-income units. Figured these have to be scammed somehow, and this is a pretty good outline.
