From the Public Feedback post a few days ago, this is the best explanation of the "pistol pointing" directive so far:
- The policy has been discussed and approve. Now they seek public input and discussion to legitimize the policy and implement it. Most likely this will occur when the new Poodle of a Supt. comes on board. This will slide in under the hoopla of reorganization, streamlining operations, building trust within the Community, social justice reforms and the ever popular term "for efficiency'.
The Murder Mayor will laud this as part of her reform and accountability of the Police Department. You go girl. You are going to get your way. Sadly, the Community will continue to shriek and wail in the night as their family members are murdered and maimed [....]. They ain't reforming or reckoning and they ain't accountable to no one, especially YOU.
The longer one stays on the job in this corrupt city, one realizes every outcome is predetermined and everything prior to the release of a "decision" is merely smoke being blown up the collective asses of the public.

This is purely for data mining. At the end of the year a FOIA will be conducted and learn how many “citizens” had guns pointed at them. The number willl seem outrsgeous. Then they will break it down by race to show how much more often s certain part of the community gets guns pointed at them by the poleece. There will be no justifiable report behind this so it will just be released as the big bag racist poleece pointing guns at people and folks.
Well this will only put myself and fellow officers lives in jeopardy. This will make officers second guess themselves, hesitate and ultimately die as a result. Chicago is like Seattle Washington, NY, LA, ect. Packing up my family and leaving for a new state. So long and good riddance. The anti American leftist won this city and state a place we used to call home.

Sounds like a clear cut argument for officers to carry lasers on their weapons so that it is easily discernible which direction a firearm is actually pointing. FOP should argue that pointy because otherwise simply feeling like a firearm is pointed in your direction is the basis of the CR number and not based on evidence!!!

What are the odds that the people (or folks) donating the ammo, and the members of this organization, have valid FOID cards to be legally in possession of ammunition?

Get a child’s car seat, put it in a patrol car, load the mayor up, take her to see how things are on each shift. Make sure she stays for the whole shift. This needs to happen for at least a couple of weekends.

Scale back hours? You mean to tell me that bigoted, fictitious, dribble she's been churning out for years actually takes her hours of work to come up with? I can write a Mary Mitchell article in 25 seconds. "I seen a white man breathing yesterday. Why do white men always think they have the right to breath? How about EVERY person who comes on the air stating, "Beat xxxx I just pointed my weapon at a subject at xxxx N Xxxxx St. I need to go into the District and fill out an Information Report." When the Sgt., Lt, or Capt. states you don't have to, or denies you permission, then it's on tape you were denied the opportunity to do a report, then no matter what occurred, the incident cannot be used against you.
There might be problems with this angle, but it's a start to combat future problems which WILL arise.
