- A University of Chicago student was attacked early Monday by a man who shoved her to the ground and tried to sexually assault her, but she fought back by biting him and he ran off, Chicago and University police said.
About 12:10 a.m. Monday Chicago police were called to the 5600 block of South Drexel Avenue, said police spokeswoman [...]. A 21-year-old student was walking there “when she was physically grabbed from behind and restrained forcefully,” [...].
The alert states the student “was approached from behind by an unknown suspect who placed his arm around her torso, pushed her to the ground and attempted to place his hand up her skirt.” As he reached for her, the woman bit the man on the arm and he ran off, north on Drexel.

The predators just love stalking the college campuses for young, naïve, politically indoctrinated, and most from out of town students for robberies and assaults. Some are actually afraid to report the crimes.

It's not safe to be walking alone anywhere in the city especially in the middle of the night. I used to work in Lincoln Park and many of the DePaul students were approached by criminals while they were walking home in the middle of the night and now it's happening in broad daylight as well. It's a false sense of security that because they are in a "safe" neighborhood they will be safe no matter what.

Biting is one hell of a self defense move which women can use to halt sexual assault. Glad the woman did it.
Yes, it is gross and you can maybe get some disease but it might stop an attack in many cases. In this one, it did so that is fine.

Yes... Up until she gets married and has kids normally. Then many, not all however, liberal women at last tend to care about the actual outcomes choices have on future socitey since they have 'skin in the game'. Skin (and bones and a brain etc) which will be living in that future society past her own time.
