Witness Slaughtered
- Three years ago, Treja A. Kelley was walking near her South Side home with her cousin when a man opened fire from a passing car, fatally striking her cousin.
This past June, Kelley, then 18, testified at the trial of her cousin’s accused killer, helping Cook County prosecutors secure a conviction.
On Sunday night, Kelley was just around the corner from the 2016 slaying — again walking to her home in the Back of the Yards neighborhood — when a gunman stepped from an alley and opened fire, striking her three times in the head and several times in the torso.
Kelley, who was pregnant, was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
The lawlessness fostered by Crimesha and Prickwrinkle have real world consequences, along with the drumbeat to distrust the authorities. And the self-perpetuating cycle of circling the drain will continue.

Now for sure witnesses aren't going to get involved. Clearance rates across the board will be single digits.

This is the reason killings in the kommunerty are on the rise as well as some retaliation murders. Letting their people die for a vote or a modicum of power. Both of these women should be publicly shamed to an even greater degree.

Should have started with the killer she identified.
Staples, under her leadership, has been consistent in keeping the solution clearance rate at low levels. Would somebody advise her the clearance rate needs to be higher, much higher.
She is confused between crime rates and clearance rates. Special Ed needs to pull her off to the side and "wise her up". Perhaps her uniform tie is too tight for her neck causing some oxygen deficiency and confusion on the value of her stats.
Maybe she needs a reckoning with the Murder Mayor. It did wonders for Special Ed's career.
