The teachers work less than 1500 hours a year, the rest of us work over 2000 (at least). The teachers pay 2% of their salary to their pension, the rest of us pay over 9%, if we can even get one. The teachers have every weekend and the entire summer off without fail. Not me. The teachers get full time benefits for a part time job, and they are still complaining. Fuck the CTU. Fuck this horrible city.

I know teachers that are pro police. A few. I know quite a few police that teach part time and retirees that teach full time. All teachers aren’t flaming liberal police haters. While on the topic of the CTU, rumor has it the strike will last until at least Tuesday. You see the President is scheduled to speak Monday night at the Chief’s Convention at McCormick Place. A huge rally will be planned for Monday evening at McCormick Place. This should piss every CPD officer. CTU is offered 16% and they told the City to stick it where the sun don't shine..... In other news, I was trying to figure out why my water bill (unmetered) went up about $16.00 from the March bill. The water/sewer portion only went up about $1.55 each, so, where did the other $13.00 come from?? Guess what? The tax increased. Water bill tax on the March bill was 22.42%. New tax rate is 25.325%.
On a necessity, not something we don't need to survive. Tax on alcohol is about 28%
So, basically a sin tax on water. Can't wait to get out of here...

This destabilization of the American mind and moral compass now has begotten, as it must, societal destabilization. This is reflected in, most obviously, the flooding of our nation with unassimilable foreigners via a purposely porous border. To all of you who took the time to deride me, my post about being a teacher, and Chicago teachers in general: You win! You put me in my place and made me feel bad. I’m truly sorry you are so enraged by teachers, the public, your leadership, the city of Chicago and anyone and anything else. I know your jobs can crush your souls.
I’ll continue to believe that the words and actions of a few do not reflect the opinions and professionalism of the many.
I’ll continue to treat your children, your grandchildren, your colleagues’ children, and everyone else’s children the way I would my own.
Thank you for doing work the rest of us can’t, for an often ungrateful public.

Almost four months off every year with weekends off! How long can you hold your bladder and stand on your feet on a hot summer day drenched on your own sweat? I saw a fat screaming teacher running after a dude at the green line Cicero stop and everyone on the train was laughing!

teachers are over paid , weekends off , holidays off , summers off , days off never cancelled , pay 2% toward pension , not 9% like other city employee . how do they deal with unruly students , they call the police , why are police assigned to schools ?
believe it or not , many do not live in Chicago , how about strict residency enforcement , it's a requirement by other city employees .
