- The Board of Directors of the Fraternal Order of Police — the union representing rank-and-file Chicago police officers — issued a vote of no confidence in CPD Supt. Eddie Johnson Wednesday.
The vote came just a day after the union sharply criticized the superintendent’s decision to skip a speech that President Donald Trump is set to deliver at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Chicago on Monday. Johnson said Tuesday that he “will not be attending the presidents’ remarks because the values of the people of Chicago are more important to me than anything that could be said in the speech.”
In a brief statement issued Wednesday, the FOP said: “The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7 Board of Directors today issued a vote of no confidence against Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson.”
Remember, the Department is supposed to be non-political in order to fairly enforce all the laws against all sides that may break them.....unless you're in a democrat run shithole and you're a gutless chief who does what he's told.

President Trump is the head of the Executive branch of our government, the number one law enforcement officer of the country, so to speak. As law enforcement agencies, we are empowered by the Executive branch of our states to enforce laws, so in essence, the President is the highest authority over all agencies, our shameful superintendent and department included. I, as a lowly beat officer, am embarrassed by our superintendent’s attempting to embarrass our President by letting politics enter into his decision to not attend a function the President is making an appearance at.
Most people I talk to are satisfied with what Trump has accomplished so far, despite Democrats and fake republicans attempting to stymie the President at every turn. We all put up with the last President for eight years, even though I didn’t agree with his policies, I still fulfilled my duty and was part of crowd control at one of his appearances downtown, despite him, in my opinion, being a disaster for our country. I didn’t let my political beliefs get in the way of doing my job.
Remember, Obama took the side against police on every issue. President Trump is the polar opposite, he appreciates law enforcement, your snubbing our President speaks volumes about who you really are.
I have zero respect for you Superintendent, but I will do the job I swore to do well over two decades ago.

Then he decides to not meet with the President of the United States, it can’t get anymore disgraceful! New York City Police Officers stood together to turn their backs, it is so far past time that every CPD member takes a stand and works together to clearly show this incompetent no good leader he not only should have resigned a long time ago and he has seriously destroyed anything left that officers might want to be proud of in Chicago. CPD works so hard, the officers are so diligent and courageous they deserve the respect of the communities they serve. They serve under so much criticism and scrutiny very few people if any would ever survive a day in their shoes. They deserve the support of the city as it is clear their leadership has failed them. I wouldn't characterize most visitors here as pro-republican, as most republican politicians are just stealth democrats wearing a republican jersey. I would say most who visit here are pro-liberty and would support any politician, despite their party affiliation, who espouses the same.
Maybe you shouldn't be visiting SCC and should consider a blog such as democraticunderground.com. Just a warning though, after you visit them, you will feel the need to take a shower. M.A.G.A.

Chicago's COPA(Oct2016) is a part of a "consent decree", to meet the terms of a federal judge's ruling back in Aug 2016. And consent decrees have failed law abiding citizens in all cities, Chicago included.

I imagine there were many votes cast in the last election that weren’t necessarily pro Trump, but actually anti Hillary
