- Organized shoplifting teams, some taking advantage of children who appeared to be no more than 10-years-old, struck retailers repeatedly this weekend in the Loop, Magnificent Mile, and Lincoln Park, according to police reports.
One crew pepper-sprayed a retail worker. Last Wednesday, another theft team slammed a store employee’s head into a glass merchandise case.
Retailers are dealing with a wave of organized shoplifting teams that frequently use juveniles to do their dirty work. North Side locations of Forever 21, H&M, Ulta Beauty, DSW, Patagonia, and Burlington have been struck repeatedly — sometimes twice within hours.
And guess who isn't prosecuting shoplifting cases unless it's something like "greater than $1,000" and "ten previous convictions"?

These businesses need to lobby and stand up. Because right now it’s a complete waste of time to lock any of them up. Lock up 2 and 10 more show up. And then the 2 you locked up are out with mommy before you go home. Then they get an informal adjustment in the end. Meanwhile they robbed 50 more stores. It’s not a police problem, we can’t help you anymore.

Nothing new here. They aren’t the brightest, so it took them awhile to figure it out. The biggest “candy” stores are downtown Chicago. Time to get to it. Black Friday is coming. Let’s not disappoint.
But if the same happened in Du Page Co., they’d be sitting in jail. It’s Krimesha and the judges that allow the crime wave in cook co.

When I was in the D/D we handled 018 and some of those high line stores & hotels would get hit with bad checks & credit cards. At that time the offenders were in pairs. We did not have those large crowds hitting those places. What was frustrating, we knew the dirtbags were and come in with photo spreads and about 80 percent of the time the sales persons couldn't or wouldn't pick out the bad guys. Some of the really high line stores would let them try on a fur coat, hand them a Gucci bag or even jewelry then they would walk out with it. Sometimes we would really work up a case and the high store would fail to appear in court. So you keep reading about this and it seems it is getting worse. The retailers association needs to get together and put pressure on the Foxx & Lightfoot. I never go to the Mag Mile or Loop. I go to the northern suburbs for shopping, restaurants entertainment. I just heard that left wing radical Chesa Boudin was just elected as the new state’s attorney in San Francisco. His parents went to prison for murdering 3 people in an armed robbery. He was raised by our own radicals Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. He is going to do the same thing as Foxx and the rest of these radical prosecutors across the nation are doing, not prosecuting criminals. They are taking over the nation’s criminal justice system while citizens are sleeping
And when someone cues up a bat on the shorty that's ripped them off for the 8th time (that day), mom will bleat: "But my boy wus just turnin' his life around!", "ya'll didn' have to be so harsh".... and so on...

A lot of the weekends crew was one family. One got arrested in 001, 3 more in 018. All were under 16 with a couple under 10 that couldn't be arrested so they had to he taken home. Most of those arrested had priors. Nothing done in court of course.
With the Holidays coming, the little yutes are betting on which group can steal the most!
The most obvious first step is no one gets in without a photo id that a picture is taken of as entrance is made. Entrance doors should be locked so customers can get out but not in unless allowed in.
There could also be double door mantraps to keep shoplifters trapped until police can get there. But in the end if the CCSA refuses to prosecute it is pointless to try and catch shoplifters. Need to focus on prevention.
You stop a baby for shoplifting because mama told him to do so, next thing you know there is auntie, mama, nephew screaming at you Jerry springer style how you touched their baby. All art of a game. But they just goofing around.

Last year my nephew seen the hood rats throw a 55-gallon bag out the passenger window.
