Get Under That Bus Ed!
Groot uses a lot of words. The trouble is she uses them wrongly or without knowing the meaning.
Case in point - she says she fired Johnson. Did she fire him or did she remove him from the Superintendent's spot? We know all exempts sign an undated resignation letter, but that usually is for the position, not continued city employment. J-Fled found that out when he attempted to fire numerous exempts, then found out he could only reassign them to their previous ranks and had to see a bunch of them every single day anyway.
She also says she fired Special Ed for lying. Call us sticklers, but lying on any report - written or oral - is a Rule 14 violation and the offender has to be presented with charges, investigated and referred to the Police Board for adjudication. This would also endanger Special Ed's pension - which we don't think is going to happen.

When Harold was elected he removed Brezeck as superintendent and he returned to his career service rank of Captain. He retired as the midnight WC in 001.
I have to say, regardless of your feelings of the job Johnson did, and I wasn't his biggest fan, the media really showed again what scumbags they are. Following him home to film him going into his garage on his last day as a police officer, totally tasteless and disgusting. This wasnt a parole. ABC disgusts me, it was like watching TMZ.

does she hate the police or hate what the police department has become? The department is rife with patronage and racial politics and exempt members chasing after the female officers. Promotions and transfers are corrupt and the exempt ranks are arrogant. I was typing up a report in the middle of the night when the district commander came our of his office with his female police officer secretary, both of them fixing up their clothes. Both of them are married. That stuff needs to stop but has been going on for a long time. It goe son over the entire city.
OT, sort of anyway...

Well the case was dropped but as we all know as law enforcement officers doesn't mean it didn't happen but because this one wasn't dragged into the public court of opinion her bodyguard gets to keep her position on her security team. Since he was terminated does he loose any accumulated comp time etc. from his final buyout payment? He was terminated for “cause” so he should forfeit any time like the ones who went before.

Eddie Johnson was probably the worst Superintendent I have ever worked for in my 25+ years on CPD. I don't like or respect him.But even he didn't deserve to be attacked and bushwhacked at his house by some bottom feeding scum bag reporter ( Sam Charles, Chicago Sun Times).
Exposing an officer's residence exposes them and their family to attacks and retaliation.
Just think of all of the confidential and complex investigations and information Johnson had at his disposal.He would be a great target .
Shame on Sam Charles and the Chicago Sun Times. I cancelled my subscription to that rag. I was going to do it anyway but Charles, Grimm, Fusco, Main and those other yellow journalists hacks stepped up my timetable.
