Squad vs Squad
- Five Chicago police officers were injured when two squad cars crashed Thursday in South Chicago.
An unmarked police vehicle collided with a marked police SUV about 11:40 p.m. in the 9200 block of South South Chicago Avenue, according to Chicago police. Both vehicles were on their way to assist with a traffic stop at the time of the crash.
Three officers from the unmarked vehicle and two from the marked squad car were taken to hospitals in fair condition, police said.

This shit is happening way too often. You're going to kill someone. Slow the fuck down and use your eyes. You're not helping anyone by hurrying to your own crash.
Slow down nothing is worth it. Half of the domestics are 1A for someone who won’t leave the house, use your head it’s not a light situation. No need to do 80mph driving like your headed to flavor town for some out of bounds lunch.
Wasn’t an intersection. Marked squad pulled a u-turn from right lane in front of other squad with equipment activated. Before you make a u-turn on four lane roadway, at minimum check for traffic approaching

It’s because the sirens on the squads are way too quiet. Don’t believe me? Ever notice how long it takes for cars to pull over? Listen from your personal cars when you’re driving around. You can see the blue lights but can’t hear the sirens from 30 feet away. Maybe it’s a newer squad issue but I never have a hard time hearing a fire truck or an ambulance. We need to beef this

These days insurance companies are desperate looking for ways to increase profits by raising premiums for claims, and LEO’s may be a way to appease the stockholders. City Finance will still have the IOD injured’s pay medical deductibles, out of pockets, copays using their PPO if they think caution wasn’t exercised.
Wonder if that initial traffic stop resulted in any checkoff activity for the district.

Ever since the flying brick Dodge Monaco, the community has well adapted well to smell trouble coming from the unmarked car blocks away, especially now with the tall, unstable suv.
The days of surprise secret squirrel cars are long gone and really, what’s the point when the felony denied misd. arrest does nothing but boosts the merit boss compstat packet for their next merit bump. The unmarked vehicle purpose is extinct and even plain clothes is being challenged as unfair, untrusting and troubling to the community.
Cowboys, that's what these kids are Cowboys, doesnt anybody out there talk with them about safe driving, WTF, the brass won't do anything about this until some copper gets killed driving like a fool.

Fuck the guy who is talking about fucking over coppers getting into accidents. You obviously never worked in a busy district or put yourself out there by being the real police lately. Shit happens...I get cops need to slow down and be more careful but if they can’t even get into an accident now without worrying about being fired or fucked over then there really is no point of leaving the station. It is a fact that if you see how these young coppers drive thier own cars that would explain thier driving squads,you see most of these young cops have only been driving about 10-15 years,but now they are the police and they know everything. Doesnt the academy teach them safe driving anymore? I am retired and a professional driver trainer who would be willing to volunteer a few hours to speak with the recruits about safe driving. They have no clue. Somebody is going to wind up permanently disabled in a wheelchair for life ,thencowboys how do you raise your kids

The fact you think these explorers and 50-60k only shows how stupid you really are and completely negates any valid point you’re trying to prove. This wasn’t an intersection crash asshole, and the reason we have a collective bargaining agreement is to keep brain dead morons like you from making any real important decisions regarding anyone getting terminated. Cars get damaged, smashed, totaled whatever. They’re fucking machines getting pumped out by the hundreds everyday a few blocks from where this incident took place. I once picked up a new explorer at 111th on second watch and it was smashed up on third watch that same day!!!
Riding three deep because the other cars have been wrecked. No worries city is self insured so all they have to do is raise taxes to buy you all news cars.

ford exploders are expensive. the tauruses were 34 k out of the factory and the stripped down bulk exploders are at least 10 k more. civilian explorers are 50-60 k and ford doesnt discount police cars like general motors used to. your attitude that police vehicles are consumables to be destroyed for shits and giggles is troubling. theres such a thing as risk vs reward in the adult world, and wrecking a car or two or three plus medical costs for a traffic stop shows you dont live or belong in the adult world. go wreck your personal car chump, after all its just a car and shit happens. fukkin child.
