Last I heard of him he was found at the bottom of a stairwell and went IOD and then disability.

Let's face it the mayor is just as incompetent as the police board picking someone from this department is a disgrace these so called supervisor are noting butincompetent boobs. Cato is a merit pick and a cheater and this is what they want to run the police department, Brown was run out of Dallas and his department turned against him and Ziman does not have enough experience to run a large department so the bottom line is CPD is fucked. Nothing we as PO's can do but eat the shit that is shovel at us, God I wish we could strike and make the demands that the useless teacher do and get some respect or let the city crumble and let black lives matter protect the city
Look peeps....it’s old news now..bandaids been ripped off with no massive public outcry against her. Decisions made: superintendent ziman, and she was already told it comes with Cato as 1st deputy. Official decision June ish after the pandemic mania, she takes the drivers seat in August. Tom sellek stays to hold her hand until December, then he’s gone with 3 months severance.

Re: Malinowsky, the guy probably didn't want to take a step down. Executive level consulting is an awesome gig because you get to charge tons of money per hour and basically work when you feel like it. Along with the lecture circuit, it's the end game for all political types.

It's usually the other way around, when a CPD Lt or higher retires from the dept they go on to be chiefs at these little departments.
