So it went to grand jury and was a true bill. You don't have to let this be the last word. You can petition the courts to prosecute batteries as a citizen; State's Attorney isn't the last word on this. Perhaps the union could explore ways to persist on prosecutions after they decline. Like family violence court, you can walk up and demand they investigate and charge without any police involvement.
If they're not willing to prosecute the police shouldn't be willing to arrest.
Arresting is not supposed to be a punishment. But that's what they're trying to do. Then watch when something goes wrong how fast they throw the cop under the bus.

What we need is someone like Sheila O'Brien (filed the petition for special prosecutor in the Jussie Smollet case) to file another "Petition for Appointment of Special State's Attorney" to essentially become a surrogate State's Attorney because the one who actually sits in the seat, Foxx and her minions, are unable or unwilling to do the job they are sworn to do. If that petition ends up in front of the right judge, it would make for an interesting hearing. The practical problem is that Chief Judge Evans and criminal court presiding Judge Leroy Martin would never let a petition of that nature see the light of day in front of a real judge who just might grant it.

You are completely wrong. Joe Magats has always been a dedicated ASA and is not one to disregard the law. The issue is, trying to prosecute a case which is based on an arrest for a curfew violation that was arbitrarily imposed by Mayor Lightfoot without the input of any legislative body. Courts do not uphold arrests based on a politicians misguided and self serving attempts to save their own careers.

Just scanning through the Table of Contents it seems that there's about a Dozen Misdemeanors and/or Felonies that these so-called 'protesters' have Violated, that have nothing to do with any Curfew Violations, but Cook County's crack State's Attorney, Ms Crimesha Foxx, refuses to Prosecute.
As such, a rational person could be led to believe that 'Lil Kimmy' never read West's book of these Illinois Laws, and... maybe she never even heard of it!
The first thing that jumped out at me was; Chapter 430. Public Safety, Act 70, Illinois Public Demonstrations Law. Needless to say, all these so-called 'peaceful protesters' violated every section in it. From marching on/and blocking the streets to not getting Permits. Section 708 Classifies these Violations of the Act as Class A Misdemeanors.
From there we get in the serious shit in Chapter 720, Criminal Offenses. Mob Action, Theft, Robbery, Burglary, Arson, etc, etc, etc. These are all Felonies of one class or another. I don't have to list them all, you Guys & Gals know what they are.
But the most interesting thing I found was: Chapter 720, Act 5, Title III (part E. Offenses Affecting Government Functions) Article 33: Official Misconduct
::: 33-3. A public officer or employee commits misconduct when, in his official capacity, he commits any of the following acts:
::::: (a) Intentionally or recklessly fails to perform any mandatory duty as required by law, or
::::: (b) Knowingly performs an act which he knows he is forbidden by law to perform... etc (c) n/a & (d) n/a
A public officer or employee convicted of violating any provision of this Section forfeits his office or employment. In addition, he commits a Class 3 Felony.
Now there is no doubt that Crimesha has been in violation of section 5/33-3 since her first week in office when SHE publically declared what laws would be enforced and she has only gotten more lawless since the first 'protest' (riot).
As such it is now the Sworn Duty of the IL AG to step in and Prosecute 'Lil Kimmy Foxx. If he doesn't, he becomes part of a criminal conspiracy. At that point it becomes a Federal Matter like when southern governments refused to go after the KKK in the 1960s and the FBI & US Attorneys took control.

Anyone that has trained with the Israelis, particularly the IDF should have realized the limitations in the civilian police world. What works for military police in an occupied territory, most importantly with full governmental backing, is hardly appropriate in the sue happy US of A. I would assume that any department that incorporates IDF techniques would be careful about which ones, if any, would be included on SOPs. In all seriousness, in the US only combat arms should embrace this type of training. Smashing a suspect's teeth out with a barrel is not something to be taken lightly, yet that kind of thing is part and parcel of Israeli training. What would be last ditch survival tactics here are considered pro-active policing there. If the MPD wholeheartedly subscribed to such tactics, then officers were definitely set up for a fall.

I heard technically when she was running for ASA her dues were not paid to the Bar Association. So while running for office of the ASA she was not a lawyer, she unable to practice legally. This info I received from some practicing Attorney's.

this is a preview of what will happen in Illinois if the voters approve the constitutional change in state income tax. And, if you think that within 2-3 years Illinois will then start taxing retirement income, then you are correct. The "good" old-school ASAs who are still around are there for the same reason that many of you are still on the job... they have families and need to finish their years to get their pensions. They also want to stay and do what they can to protect crime victims and the good, younger ASAs in the office. In short, they still feel the sense of duty that led them to take the job in the first place.
That being said, every day they have to exist in Kim's office takes 4 days off their lives. It's like being caught in the cycle of domestic violence, except after almost 4 years of this shit, Kim doesn't even bring flowers anymore after she bangs your head against the wall or beats up your kids or kicks your dog in front of you. Instead she now makes you apologize and kiss her shoe in front of the whole neighborhood... to own and accept your responsibility for the way you are being treated by her.
Many good ASAs have left if they have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity or ability to do so. Which, of course, was part of Kim's plan from the beginning... to make everyone who was part of the "old guard" leave so that she can replace them with "right"-thinking SJW attorneys (including a lot of former defense attorneys).
And then there are those who remain and have drank the Kim Kool-aid, who now seem to enjoy their power and relish in inflicting pain and misery on those they used to call partners and friends. It is truly like Lord of the Flies.
