For the first time in over two months, Officers shot someone who had just tried to kill one of them with a car:
- Two car theft suspects were shot by police officers Friday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
The two, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, have been taken to a hospital, Chicago police spokesman [...] said.
At some point during the incident, which happened while police were conducting an auto theft investigation, one officer was “struck by a vehicle and dragged a short distance by the suspect’s car,” [...] said. The officer was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not serious.
Were they armed? With something other than a three-thousand pound hunk of metal we mean. Because that is the only thing that matters to the media:
- One gun was confiscated from the suspect’s car...
Well thank goodness for that. Best wishes to the injured Officer for a speedy recovery.
UPDATE: Perhaps our friends over at HeyJackass.com can tell us exactly how many shootings there have been between the last CPD shooting and this one? It might provide a bit of context to how responsible police are for the carnage in the 'hood.

Perhaps, we can also be informed as to why the CPD has not posted weekly index crime stats by district (including MURDERS and shooting incidents) for 2020 on their ChicagoPolice.org website since May 24th.

Having several experiences with the then BPP "Minister of Defense" from my first assignment to Fillmore, one of which almost cost me my life, Rush is Satan personified.
Unknown person(s) in authority directed the naive officers to occupy this vicious, lying police hater's office on the pretext of security. Since the officers were not allowed to leave the building and told to "make themselves at home" as Rush's cameras were rolling, he came up with his racist brainstorm with Groot to depict these officers as cowards. All part of the Chicago Way playbook with the MSM to then publicize Rush's lying scheme. A national news story based on total hogwash.
RIP to Officers John Gilhooley and Frank Rappaport who were murdered by Black Panther Spurgeon "Jake" Winters in an ambush near 58th and Calumet. Later Rush had two BPP "clinics" on 16th St. and up on Wilson Ave. named to "honor" deceased double cop killer Winters.

The officers were sent there to make sure the Congressman’s office did not get looted. They were there for hours as the Mayor said. Once things quieted down and there were no more looters and no more threats the supervisors decided to let the officers get some rest. They had been working for 12-14 hours without a break and then were scheduled to be back again for another 12 hour day in a few hours so yes they needed rest Although sleeping on duty is not condoned the schedule they were working isn’t good for the body and when the opportunity to resented itself yes they were allowed to rest. Next question. Where is the leadership?!?!?!

I want to defund CPS. I don’t want my money going to a consistently failing education system with selected racism (anyone of the thousands of other races in the world who’s lives also matter) and anti police messages being pounded into the future generations minds. They push the anti American agenda and fail to teach at a educational level to produce the needed knowledge students must achieve to advance and be able to thrive in society. No parent or parent less citizen should be forced to pay a property tax to include funding of such a destructive and greedy organization. Any funds should come from persons agreeing to such payments and their employee pensions should be cut drastically due to their lack of personal payments into their pension fund. Citizens have had enough. Say no to payment of teachers who aren’t actively sitting in their classroom properly teaching this countries future adults.
