I find it interesting that Bobby Rush releases the video of coppers taking a well deserved break but has no comment or video of the looters who trashed his office.

Heard today the Booby Rush Office popcorn incident may have been a staged press conference lie and a set up.
Looks like the twitchy angry quick to blame clown toad is the one being targeted and just got caught again.
As a 33 year member of CPD and among my assignments was ADS of Internal for 3+ of my career. I offer the following observations of the Rush video.
1. I would like to know who contacted CPD regarding the intrusion into Rush’s office?
2. Who assigned the 13 officers to the location and specifically what was the assignment?
3. Were the supervisors present given the option to respond to nearby incidents?
4. I spent two tours in the Nam and whenever we were told to stop our sweeps we would set a perimeter and the rest of us would eat our C’s and take a nap. 12 to 14 hour in the field wears the body out plus travel time to and from one’s residence must be included. Then what nutrition was available to those on scene..?
5. I wouldn’t have allowed anyone to consume Rush’s popcorn or coffee because I understand he has never been a friend of the police. That was a mistake that the supervisor on scene must explain.

What can a member of the public do if he or she thinks the public body has violated OMA?
- Within 60 calendar days from when the alleged violation occurred, a member of the public can file a Request for Review of the matter with the Public Access Counselor at the Office of the Attorney General, or can bring a civil action in circuit court against the public body. In addition, the State’s Attorney of the county in which the alleged violation occurred may bring a civil action in circuit court within 60 calendar days after the violation occurred or within 60 calendar days of the discovery of the violation by the State’s Attorney.

Fuck you Groot and fuck you Rush! This city had the most piss poor planning from the beginning. They had us stacked on top of each other in the parking lot of Sox Park waiting anywhere from 2-3 hours before deciding where to send us. A group of us were loaded onto a CTA bus and shipped to the Walmart at 75th and Ashland. The store was already trashed. Then our group was spilt up so that the other half was put back onto the bus and sent down a few blocks to a Family Dollar store that also had already been looted. Our CTA bus then left the area. We then sat in the parking lot of this Family Dollar store from 3pm to 11pm. Our sergeants asked numerous times for us to be relocated to another area where the looting was taking place and we were told to stay put. No food, no water. If it wasn’t for the fact one of our sergeants arranged for pizzas to be delivered, we wouldn’t have eaten all day. Several of the residents brought us water and also offered food. Good thing it was all male officers too because there was no clean restroom available. Maybe Rush could have gotten his ass out of bed and came down and protected his own office. Same goes for Groot. I never saw her out there on the front lines quelling the looting.

Under state law, it's technically unlawful to record a civilian without permission in illinois. With multiple participants, you are supposed to obtain permission from each and every party who audibly voices. With an organization, a single individual can bind the group and provide shelter.
The obvious move here on the part of Lopez or affiliates is to state that "somebody" was providing requisite compliance with the open meeting act mandates because The Shitty of Chiraq deliberately did not.
Thus it's arguably a balancing test and the courts used to award judgment to the recorder but today I'm not so sure.

Tourism-related revenues are largely gone, at least for next few years. Our convention/tradeshow tourism traffic probably forever gone, Covid being only last-straw to anyways weakening market-interest in McCormick location. Revenue projections are frighteningly bad. Economy isn't rebounding anytime soon for 80% of us folks, and only those top 5%'ers still okay long-term.
Chicago's future is bleak.
