LA Murders up 250%

  • The Los Angeles Police Department announced that murders increased by 250 percent last week in the wake of national unrest following the death of George Floyd, and just as Los Angeles officials announced plans to slash the city’s police budget by up to $150 million.

The LAPD announced that, compared to the previous week, “homicides went up 250% and victims shot went up 56%” from May 31 to June 6. The department also said that the city had seen four separate shootings — one resulting in a homicide — over the last 24 hours.
And this is before the budget cuts hit.

Those are rookie numbers! Beck should become a consultant and hold training on how to get a REAL murder score!

Maybe they need more diversity, I am told that is real good. Or maybe raising taxes will help? As long as they don't vote for one of those evil Republicans...

RE: Murder and Weekly Index Crime statistics, City of Chicago. (See weekly "crime statistics" at www.ChicagoPolice.org

Dear Mayor Lightfoot and CPD Supt. David O. Brown:

The CPD no longer publishes weekly crime statistics (including MURDERS and other Violent Crimes) at the CPD website as of Sunday, May 24th. Please update the weekly Index Crime statistics by citywide, areas and districts.

A city refusal would lead a rational reader to conclude that the City of Chicago is suppressing this information for a corrupt political agenda. TRANSPARENCY NOW!

4 shooting and 1 killed in last 24 hours and it makes the News? Chicago is averaging almost 2 a day dead and 12 a day shot. Those pickers on the west coast have a long way to go to catch the Second City. 300 by end of June. Then another 300 by 2021.

Four shootings within 24 hours? Last Friday afternoon and into Saturday morning we had 20 shootings. Ironically they are the second city in population but we are still number one when it comes to violence.

"Garcetti said there would be cuts “to every department, including the Police Department, because we all have to be part of this solution together."

Except the community...they don't have to take part in the solution... We all know their problems arise from lack of values in education, family, and hard work....

Just sit back community members...we'll throw money at your doorstep in the form of so called community resources that will go misguided and unused. When will we wake up and finally tell people that it's time to get off your ass, take pride in your work ethic and build your own path to success for you and your family...

To all the police haters and SJW that want to abolish and defund the police. Be careful what you wish for because you might just get it. Enjoy Charlie’s world tour.

We have a brilliant genius PooperIntendant that’s in hiding...beat that LAPD.

Defunding is another word for budget cuts that will come by way of hiring freeze and promotions.
Spoiler Alert -
This is most likely going to happen here and really, when was the last Academy call up?
Did they break ground on that $100 mil giant new academy complex on contaminated land, the one that’s in the middle of the ghetto, with the 100 space parking lot?

Goof Gov Gavin can boast a bit, one odd fact is that CA is has a $20 billion surplus in their general fund at the beginning of the year. It’s why they can constantly give freebies away whenever the natives get restless.
Even the tech and Hollywood elite have too be wondering how to exempt themselves from paying more than they have to.
Plus more money is needed for get that $80 billion bullet train project to nowhere (SF to LA) restarted and finished by 2028.

Also, LA mayor goofball gargler Garcetti was the first politician to define “systemic racism”.
He says its “racism built into a system”.
He must be a wiz at Scrabble and used the word “quone” more than a few times.

Lets not forget that the LAPD has been under a consent decree for years now and has been declared a " reformed department" that is in touch with the community.

I live out on the left coast. SoCal.
It's never been possible to get a good read on shootings and murders out here.
You've got LA City and LA county, then you've got the fact that all the reports now use the "neighborhood" names. With the demise of all the local papers you never see any details or follow-up reports. We had a straight up hit on a guy in the local Target parking structure. After the initial report there was never another word about it. A dealer in high end cars that I knew took 2 rounds to the head when a Ferrari deal went south. Never made the news at all. This guy was on HGTV, owner of LA Porsche Dismantler, his widow runs the place now. But she's not talking either.
Different type of "Code of Silence" out here.

We need a hey jackass for the entire country. And we can compare Pre Floyd and Post Floyd numbers. I’m guessing things will only get worse in most cities. But hey, the police are the problem.
