Some are close to retirement. Some are just a few months on. Others, like myself, are right in the middle. I have 10 years on and can honestly say that I can't see myself doing another 10. There are only so many ways to be fetal. Ultimately you still have to answer your calls and play the game. But the game is stacked so badly now that no matter what you do, you're going to lose. So how do you win a game like that? Don't play.

I was on the phone with alderwoman Rodrigues‘s office and wondered why she was against funding the police. The genius answering the phone said that there are too many resources wasted sending the police to every call, and sending someone with a gun sometimes can only escalate the situation. I asked her again if she was serious about NOT sending someone with a gun to confront someone who is armed and she said yes, in many cases it just makes things worse.

The poster was sold in every record and head shop in town. There was no internet ya know. I met one of his brothers during my time on the job, and I do believe that the guy retired with a full pension and 30 years on the job. This would set a precedent for handling such a situation. I agree. I am 2.5 years from retiring. Cannot laterally transfer at this point. I suggest everyone find a spot, lateral transfer, go to cfd if possible. Or get into a different profession. I am considering that. And if you do not live in Chicago, he cost of living is significantly less.

It looks like they are at 1400 with "No Preference". MANY people on the list who are now called for "initial processing" are not showing up because the exam was in December of 2014. Make sure you have your email and phone number updated with the city.

How officers are threatened with various forms of punishment for not bringing in enough numbers. How boss’ tell officers that there is no way they didn’t see some citizen committing some type of violation during an entire tour.

Yes. And here is exactly where the problem is. Clout and connections rule. Two different levels of discipline. First the phone then the punishment is determined and if the media will even report it. Heard they stripped that officer who flipped the bird to the “protesters”. Think about the statement we could make if we got a majority of patrolman to stick up their middle fingers in a group photo. Will they strip thousands of officers? I’ll call that bluff. We can’t strike, but I think that could be a perfect way to send a message to this scumbag mayor. I'm not a crazy and don't follow conspiracy theories but.... take a look at some of the things people noticed about Floyd's video and dam it does look staged.
The video hasn't been shown in it's entirety and never shown why police took him down. Floyd went down on the driver side then choked out on the passenger side. The police car had plates that read police... huh
Cops never got on radio but ambulance showed up never took his pulse... hmmmm

George Floyd's funeral was quite a spectacle. Sharpton had one hand on the coffin and one hand on his wallet as he met with "friends" of George. He wore long robes that covered his new shoes with the tag still on them. The flower arrangements were stunning, they must have been looted out of state by gentle, trained professionals and brought in special. There was singing, there was dancing, there was "carrying on". If you need to speak to them at other times, they are at the local brewpub after their normal jobs several times a week without fail. Just want to say, Pensacola Florida area is hiring police officers. No the pay isn't great butt the cost of living is also a hell of a lot cheaper. You can easily own your own home in nice areas (Pensacola PD doesn't have a residency requirement). Plus in many communities every officer has their own take home car even when you don't live in the city/county you work for. People still respect the police here. Stay away from the big cities and come enjoy the sunshine. We are in the central time zone, we have 4 seasons, but all much milder than other areas of Florida.

It seems odd to more mainstream denominations but some black churches ordain children. They also make them elders and deacons.
It is also not unusual for such ministers to have no formal college or seminary education. I don't recall God ever said you had to have a college degree to be a preacher. I am pretty sure none of the 12 apostles had college degrees.
