- A man was arrested after allegedly shooting a Chicago police officer in his protective vest Monday in Austin on the West Side.
Officers were called about 12:20 a.m. for reports of a man firing three or four rounds from a handgun into the ground during a domestic dispute in the 500 block of North Leamington Avenue, according to Chicago police. The man ran away but came back into the home through a basement door while police were still at the scene.
He fired a shot at an officer standing at the top of the stairs, hitting him in the shoulder, police said. The officer’s protective vest stopped the bullet and the officer returned fire, but no one was hit.
The man ran away again but was taken into custody a few blocks away in the 300 block of North Latrobe Avenue, police said. A weapon was recovered and charges are pending.
The officer was taken to a hospital in good condition, police said. No other injuries were reported.

What enrages me is how the Slum-Times almost downplays the shooting, pounding to the readers that the officer was shot in the vest. Hey dip shit, regardless if he was shot in the vest, THE OFFICER WAS STILL SHOT!
So if we defund the police, in this incident the folks would have called a neighbor or some Police Ambassador instead of police officers to handle that situation. Great idea and I fully support calling neighbors and Ambassadors. These mother fuckers need to meet Dude, Inc and Mr. Chalky right up close and personal. The dudes will fix the neighbors real quick.

Not criticizing here, but, I go through in a domestic, make sure offender is not there, and lock the doors. Many years ago( almost 30 years) a copper went to a domestic, offender left, returned with a gun and killed him.
There is a war on the police caused by the media all over the country and specifically in Chicago. The biggest two people in the Chicago media causing this are scum Times Chris Fusco and matt Hendrickson. They are no different than the national media. BLM is was and always will be a domestic terrorist organization advocating for violence against the police. They must be exposed and stopped. In the last 2 weeks 28 policemen have been shot, four fatally. This is all by design. The rioters and BLM are calling for the deaths of the police.

That’s because black lives matter and yours doesn't. That’s what they want you to believe. On the news reports I heard they said a police officer was shot in his vest as if getting shot in their vest wasn't that serious.

Had she bothered to visit she would have probably called him an "Uncle Tom" and told him he got what he deserved for oppressing the community.
Does anyone know if the midget mayor visited any of the police in the hospital? I’m speaking specifically about this poor officer and the ones seriously injured in the chase at Ashland-Irving Park.
