We have family and friends who are police and I can't imagine how demoralized they must feel. I think of my son who died on the westside in 2004 and how much he loved the city and for all of those who have died trying to keep the city safe. In the last week I’ve never seen such universal hate for a Chicago mayor as I see now. We’ve been all over the city and just about everyone can’t stand her and can’t wait to vote her out. The businesses community especially and down town and Michigan Ave hate her. It started with the shut down of business and her hypocrite policies when it comes to the now protests. They worry about their safety and survival with her hate for the police. They know she’s a terrible mayor with zero business sense and will not stay here under her dictator like rule. Very sad.

This would be a great idea, we should look at our tax bill as they want to defundthe police department, look at how much goes for police officers, reduce that from our taxes quit paying that higher the police on are own, We could pay them pay us a little more money, enough to get medical, put something in for retirement for them for a Us Surely somebody who could figure it out.

I told my wife this last year. No funeral, just a wake and a party afterwards. NOBODY gets to speak on my behalf (and no honor guard at my casket either). The city is not to be involved in any way shape or form. You didn't have my back in life, you get no words in death.
