California is still building a $80 billion bullet train to nowhere (SF to LA), billions over budget, just took another $2 billion this year, even after $1 billion in federal funding cut.
It could be just another heat of the moment stunt by the idiot governor for election purposes in November with 45 (D) U.S. House Rep seats running for re-election and GOP is looking to take back several.
We are headed in the same direction by next years budget city, county and state will follow over the next three years.

In California, police officers are certified state wide and can move to another department and take their seniority and pension with them. Can't do that in Illinois. Too bad, for if that was the policy in Illinois I would bet Chicago would lose most of their officers very soon. The mayor is running the department now and the CPD will become a petri dish for all of her policing reform dreams. The one reform that is never mentioned is taking the politics and identity politics out of the department and giving transparent and honest promotional examinations.
Why didn't the MSP PD fire back immediately with the facts? Floyd was under the influence, was trying to pass counterfeit bills, and he had an extensive arrest record in TX. Houston as a matter of fact. God help us if there was some type of nexus between ANTIFA, Brown, and Floyd. Or wittingly, Frog Eye got marching orders to hire this guy, TO PURPOSELY FACILITATE THE INSURRECTION... If someone is smart enough to connect the dots, it might save us all a lot of trouble. The 10 year thing in LA is due a lot to the State pension plan and lateral entry.
After a while, typically 7 years, officers bail out for a quiet bedroom community department. Similar money, lower housing prices, less traffic, more favorable politics, less stress.
In fact the LAPD ship-jumping got to the point where smaller departments were showing up at LAPD graduations and signing up the officers. LA went to making officers sign a contract that if they left within a certain time (5 years) they would have to repay their training expenses.
Yea we have gotten such a great return on the investment of trillions made in "communities of color" so far. Let's just throw even more money at the problem. That'll fix it. Pull the police out and let them kill each other. No one seems to care about that.

LAPD tackled him his nose Is broken Gets zip tied & thrown into a Squadroom and forced to listen to disco for seven hours. Wasn’t booked, wasn’t charged with disorderly conduct. wasn’t ticketed for anything. Was held for seven hours after having his nose broken being & tackled for peacefully protesting. You guys are not gonna win on this, so ya’ll better start siding with peaceful protesters.

Grew up in a one parent household from a mom also from a one parent household. I grew up around abuse, saw family put in jail. Wiped asses, waited tables, worked in factories...was the minority at almost every place I worked, took myself to the clinic for birth control at 20, didn’t waste time looking for a baby daddy, worked 2 jobs while paying for school out of pocket while paying rent. Never stole, never robbed, never cheated though plenty of times I had holes in my shoes or couldn’t afford more than the luxury of a walk. Do I feel stupid. Not one damn bit, because I’ve never had to manipulate one dime I ever earned or owned something I didn’t earn. And guess what, maybe a fuckhead from Oak Park or Manhattan has white privilege but I refuse to be told I had it as any other person who worked for opportunity shouldn’t be told either. It means you were never judged by the color of your skin or not afforded the same opportunity.” Really, so that time a black student whose parents were doctors was awarded a scholarship over me (though mine was a secretary) wasn’t me being judged by my skin. Nope, nope the public wouldn’t have been outraged or rioted. Remember Justine Damond? Any riots, nationwide outrage? Not only did you not have outrage, you had a member of the NAACP defending the officer saying he was railroaded because he was black- eventhough that conviction came after Van Dyke’s. Any outrage on any deaths or shootings that occur where races don’t fit the white officer/black victim death narrative? NO- those go completely unreported or are mere blips in the news & then gone. In fact, this propaganda has gotten so extreme that merely pointing out facts is “racist.” Pointing out basic human inalienable rights “All Lives Matter” is racist. I’m not justifying deaths nor am I saying that a death that occurs isn’t warranted nor isn’t the result of a combination of many things: procedure, training, non-compliance, resistance or fighting by suspect, surrounding environment, what type of call or observations by officers, health of suspect & even sometimes either negligence or criminality of the officer, the list goes on & on. Because when you get down to it, deaths occurring at the hands of an officer in the commission of his/her duties is FAR different than the resultant murder of a street thug who arms themselves with every intention of committing a crime while armed or specifically with the intention shooting someone.
In addition, yes, annually more white people are killed by police but disproportionately more are black (and not by leaps & bounds), but in all of the numbers many sources cite two other very important things:
1. White & Black officers are just as likely to shoot a Black suspect,
2. Less than 1% according to studies of those shot were “unarmed” and unarmed is painted with a broad brush because it doesn’t include things like fighting an officer for their weapon or weapon proximity
We shouldn’t even be talking about this as a race issue. A bad shooting is a bad shooting no matter the race of officers or persons shot. Does a bad shooting automatically mean first degree murder? Did that officer clearly suit up that day with the intention he was going to take a life? We certainly shouldn’t be criminalizing officers, no matter their race or person’s shot race, if the shooting or death was clearly justified.
We should be asking ourselves why the powers that be want this racist police propaganda spread as fact. Yes, this is PROPAGANDA. Anyone reading who thinks this is racist, well in fact what I do think is that yes, if you are black you are disproportionately more likely to be in poverty. But no matter your race, if you are in poverty it is more likely you are
fatherless, more subject likely to both being a victim of crime or committing one & the list goes on & on. So, why don’t we start with the obvious. Not make children that we have no intention of raising in all the capacities of what fatherhood means and then go from there.
Pouring more money into the West and South Sides is a waste of time and money. It won't change people's lives. ☹️💀
