Forgotten Lessons
Our friend Jack Dunphy has a good article up, how the LAPD prepared and handled the 2000 DNC and then promptly neglected all of the lessons that led to their success - not at all dissimilar to how well we handled the 1996 DNC here....and then cut training and hiring.
The article outlines how a police officer should be viewing current events, through the lens of the process, and not though the eyes of the mob. It's a very good read and fairly long compared to some of his other pieces, but if you can, find some time and read it all.

Hey Jack, we gotta sweet little bitch here named Groot.
We have not 1 but 2 CPD helicopters in the air during all this nonsense.....However neither one is capable of doing the job they are supposed to do. The city spent millions of dollars on these relics so they can fly around and get event numbers. However, as soon as some police work is required, the city needs to call in US Customs and the State Police to provide an air asset. In edition, the local news channels are providing a live video downlink because the CPD helicopters are not capable of providing this basic service.....Go on Flight Radar 24.com and you will see that the news helicopters are overhead for the entire event but the CPD helicopters are only there for minutes at a time. Steve Georgas bought these helicopters years ago. They were useless back then and they are even more useless now....Please put somebody in a management position who knows what they are doing and can put the proper equipment in place to do the job. Stevie Georgas is not the expert he pretends to be!!!
Not LEO, but a Minnesotan.
I think Officer Derek Chauvin is guilty of manslaughter, and the other three are guilty of not stopping the idiot. And when it comes to trial in St.Cloud or Rochester MN next year, the three will be not guilty, and Chauvin gets a hung jury or a not guilty of second degree murder. Then the shit show starts all over again.
I so hpe they move it to Rochester.

I wouldn't get in those death traps even if I was paid 100K an hour. At least the military crews have an incentive to perform 100% perfect maintenance each time, that's because they fly in that same helicopter. I can only imagine City's EOE hires diagnosing issues using subpar diagnostics computers, fixing the bird with subpar Chinese parts using subpar tools. Terrifying.
Governor Newsom,
"The Black Community doesn't need to change. We need to change."
Let the carnage continue in urban Black America, where they kill themselves in job lots. That is OK. Maybe the CPD should re-evaluate their manning in Englewood and the Westside and Southside? Let the Black Communities decide their fates.

Since you weren't there and certainly don't have all the facts, (no one does), your rush to judgement is indicative of your belief in the so-called "facts" that are force-fed to the public by the media and political opportunists.
Lesson learned. Lesson forgotten.

If it goes to trial next year, every social justice warrior organization should have the huge fund that mr. Jordan just set up, to really start some riots! Where did he get the tons of millions of dollars donated? You know he won’t use his money.....
The article is titled wrong. Floyd died in custody, not killed.
We don’t really know the full extent or account of the arresting officers actions that required additional action and method of detainment which the media and politicians are claiming was blatantly wrong.
Hitch up a heart monitor to anyone especially those having to deal with agitated arrestees resisting. Those blabbering imbeciles should have enough brains to know how adrenaline affects the human senses including hearing, tunnel vision, balance, etc.
- Rant, off.
The CPD knew the shitheads were coming. Soft as puppyshit Larri was told by DNC to stay down and prepare space for protest looters.
Anyone left here remember that training we did over at the Nat Guard Armory (014) in ‘96 for DNC Convention, learning those hand signals, baton formations, maybe they did it for World Cup hooligan control, too? NATO had a donkey punch crew, shorties in front, tallies in back, and an extraction crew. That’s it. Now it’s hands off and take the beating, spitting.
Larri runs the CPD and she failed. Did the entrenched merit hacks (disgruntlement?) pitch by looking the other way and let Larri fail?
Maybe, if so - then speak up.
Not riot gear allowed. No mean looks allowed. Stay down.
So far the only thing Larri has done is allow more space to assemble crowds (In these challenging Covids times), close ramps and thoroughfares. 60-70% Increase IN Shootings And Murder and still no answer or media questions.
Two weekends of Larri’s LootFest aftermath they decided to bring in Georgas as an expertise contractor. Fuckhead SpecialEd even had to have outside help during his failed tenure. Not even two months in and we have a tutor to school Flunky Hashed Brown. I don’t think Georgas training initiatives are going to help, we never had this sort of extended, extensive rioting, burning, killing since 1968.
Its hands off.
Training failures yes, and is crowd control training that minimal, that nobody (Merit command) knew what to do? We know they don’t let anyone respond to 10-1’s.
For the last 15 -20 yrs focused training has been on verbal judo, cult awareness, then legitimacy, pandering, kneeling, bowing, sensitivity, and expect that to be rehashed and amped up. Hands off I can’t breeve.
If they teach law and order, organization, productivity, employee relations, and all important...etiquette in Mayor’s Skool, then I’d say Larri LightFührer has failed tremendously, like F-U tremendously.
And a big F-U to the NFL, NHL, MLB too.

Another interesting read is How the ‘68 riots flipped Illinois:
http://www.chicagomag.com/city-life/May-2020/Chicago-Riots-1968-DNC-Nixon-Trump/
What an awesome read, if and when the acquittals are read the covid-19 virus will be all but a bad memory as the new rounds of riots and violence begin...
Excellent article that actually explains the complete incompetence at many agencies.
Awesome article
Chief Morales, Milwaukee, and he is right!
The headline was changed from what it said ealier today, of course.
https://www.cbs58.com/news/im-angry-chief-morales-upset-with-reaction-toward-officers-department
Chief Morales:
""2,000 years ago, an angry mob came before people to say, 'Crucify that man', that man being Jesus Christ. What are angry mobs doing today? We say we’re civilized, but are we really? Let’s think about that -- and that includes you, media – you play a big role in changing the perceptions that are out there." he added.
When asked who he was saying was crucified by an angry mob, Morales said law enforcement.
"Law enforcement throughout our nation is being crucified. That’s what they want, that’s what these angry mobs are doing. There’s several different types of groups out there protesting. There’s peaceful protesters that are angry for what happened in Minnesota and we get that, we’ll work with that," he said, "but there’s also people taking advantage to loot our cities, to burn our cities, and make no mistake, throughout the nation, there’s individuals or groups out there that want to burn a police station down. That is not going to fix anything."
The problem was the pathetic press who didn't believe police were being shot at and the other night when police said a Molotov cocktail was tossed at police, the press did not believe the chief! The press has their leftist, liberal bent. That is clear!
You deal with slime and shit most of your day. Not envious.
NOT ILLINOIS. NOT LAW.
Bell 206 JetRangers sitting idle?
That's $1M each on the ground.
What is this, a Greek Casino game?
Neither Lightfoot nor Pritzker would EVER say anything like this. Nevertheless, Cuomo's caused a lot of this.
Cuomo stands by cops despite aggression against protesters, tells prosecutors to crack down on looters
“Police have to enforce the law. If you are violating the curfew and you refuse to leave, the police officers have to enforce the law," he said.
"The police are doing an impossible job,” he said. “They have treated police officers with such disrespect in New York City that I am stunned. I have never seen that level of disrespect to a police officer.”
"To the New York City district attorneys: You look at these videos. It would be nonsensical if police were arresting looters and they were being arrested and returned to the street the next day to loot again,” Cuomo said. “These people should be charged for the crime that they are committing and bail set, right?”
