Residents of Chicago’s quiet Sauganash neighborhood on the northwest side will not be having a cake and coffee welcoming for Chicago’s First Family. Friday and Saturday nights the circus (also know as the “peaceful protesters”) invaded Mayor Lightfoot’s present neighborhood near Wrightwood & Kimball to put pressure on her to renounce the police as they are calling the police “her minions”. This isn't the first time they came to her home. The last time was May 31 during the George Floyd incident. Apparently they do not know she is on their side and they did not read her twitter feed encouraging people to complain about the police. A reporter described the scene as loud with people dancing! The reporter said there was a heavy contingent of police blocking the area and they had erected a gate to grant neighbors access.
It is unknown when Lightfoot will move into to the home in Sauganash which listed at $1,899,000.00 but the neighbors will find out when the traveling circus arrives.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is what the voting public in Chicago wants and nothing will change until a sufficient number of NPR loving white people get destroyed by the monster that they created. Until then it's just another "over there" war in the eyes of those fronting the money and influence, while the smoldering hippies that taught the millennials most of what they know cackle with glee about the return of 1968.
At least Minnesota had the good sense to call in the National Guard to reclaim the streets once it was clear that the mayor was worthless. Residents of Chicago’s quiet Sauganash neighborhood on the northwest side will not be having a cake and coffee welcoming for Chicago’s First Family. Friday and Saturday nights the circus (also know as the “peaceful protesters”) invaded Mayor Lightfoot’s present neighborhood near Wrightwood & Kimball to put pressure on her to renounce the police as they are calling the police “her minions”. This isn't the first time they came to her home. The last time was May 31 during the George Floyd incident. Apparently they do not know she is on their side and they did not read her twitter feed encouraging people to complain about the police. A reporter described the scene as loud with people dancing! The reporter said there was a heavy contingent of police blocking the area and they had erected a gate to grant neighbors access.
It is unknown when Lightfoot will move into to the home in Sauganash which listed at $1,899,000.00 but the neighbors will find out when the traveling circus arrives.

An idea I've been casually exploring with others is identifying and supporting a Black - or someone like Marie Newman winning against Lipinski in US Congressional race - Morgan Park or Beverly resident to, as soon as possible, begin to challenge Alderman O'Shea for the 19th Ward - Mount Greenwood included, CPD, city workers - City Council seat.
Given that area's history, and given even what's occurred more recently, and given the political power stronghold that it is, and for whom that councilperson represents during Council meetings. I think it'd be huge to find the right candidate - definitely not even volunteering myself at all because I'm not fit for office but I'd help research and prepare if asked - to bring up the issues, very locally, to at the very least help force the area/neighborhood to reckon with its past and how that past is still present, and even if such a candidate were not to win.
I think the right campaign could take on citywide ramifications. Highlighting for the city at large to see. Maybe even, in this digital age, lifting to some national scale. Where you pull and push the levers matter, hm, Archimedes?
Seems like, if done smartly, this could be a hell of a favorable battle. In terms of leveraging representational, political power in Chicago. We gotta be thinking in terms of what constrains any mayor, or any politician, or any movement, to fostering change that communities care about and demand.

It’s going to be worse than Detroit. When Detroit hit financial ruin none of this rioting, destruction of businesses and violence was going on.
