- The Bronx man who allegedly punched NYPD Chief Terence Monahan and two other officers during protests on the Brooklyn Bridge Wednesday has been released without bail.
Quran Campbell, 25, is accused of socking the highest-ranking uniformed cop several times in the face as Monahan tried to arrest him after Campbell had allegedly punched another NYPD officer and lieutenant near the Manhattan approach to the bridge.
Campbell was arraigned on assault charges in Manhattan criminal court and was granted supervised release.
The video at the above link also shows an assailant hitting the top ranking uniformed NYPD Chief in the head with what appears to be a length of pipe. This is the same NYPD Chief who took a knee last month, showing support and/or submissiveness to a domestic terrorist group...how's that working out for you now Chief?

- Mayor Bill de Blasio says he has “no respect” for one of the most outspoken NYPD union presidents, who has repeatedly attacked the mayor — calling him a “disgrace” and a “liar.”
“The [Sergeants Benevolent Association] has only practiced division, they foment hatred … they do not try to help us move forward,” de Blasio said Thursday during his daily press conference.
“They don’t try to create anything good. I have no respect for the leadership of the SBA.”
The union head fired back:
- Mullins welcomed de Blasio’s Thursday remarks, quipping, “This is the first time since he’s been in office that he’s told the truth. The City knows he hates cops and accountability, thank him for finally being honest,” the union honcho added.
