The Salvage Yard at 10101 S. Stony Island will close indefinitely for pick-ups, deliveries and all other operations on March 18, 2020 at 2:30 PM due to a government mandated suspension of City of Chicago operations.
Even a tiny trickle of money might help alleviate some of the pain taxpayers are going to be expected to swallow shortly must be killed by Groot.

The stopping of the auctions may have something to do about a Federal lawsuit against the City for confiscating and selling people's cars over ordinance violations.
Seems the City basically stole and sold about 22,000 cars over the years.
Cars were seized for ordinance violations like weapons or drugs. If the owner didn't buy the car out quickly enough, it was sold for a pittance to a connected contractor who then sold it for a profit.
This could be a major scandal if the media looks into it.

In order to bankrupt all pension liabilities all revenue streams must be destroyed. It's all part of the communists plan, as well as defunding the police. Everyone will eventually have the same (nothing) and the "elite" will have everything.
There are two ways they are trying to achieve this goal.
1) direct reductions in police budgets leading eventually to less manpower through attrition without hiring and
2) indirect reductions due to police retirements and resignations (escaping before being indicted)

Many businesses closed,city hall shut down, schools closed, courts all closed who cares if an unknown Chicago auction site is also closed. Willing to bet it runs way in the red every year no matter what the revenue is. Better off if they are not operating.
But of course all workers will get their full pay.

**Absolutely right, The lazy ass Teachers Union across the country are the ones making a big deal about going back to work...and why should they since they sit on their asses and get paid for months now. What about all the free computers students received and never returned, lost or broken? Free breakfast because momma is too fat and lazy to get up and cook for their kids. STOP PAYING TEACHERS IF THEY REFUSE TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL! If they don't, fire them for abandoning their job and start breaking up the Union. Cutting back on CTU and CPS would save taxpayers millions!!!

That came up Year’s ago. The owner of the towing company with the city contract was an in-law to the daleys. That revelation disappeared too?

These property auctions supply primarily supply small business resellers, e.g. pawn, thrift, flea market sellers, some bargain hunters too. They usual sell lots and not individual items.
Small business is getting walloped by the Democrats all over the place. For instance, noticed going down Milwaukee Ave into Niles, dozens of abandoned stores and shops, not just covid flu closures but empty storefronts from Harlem north to Glenview.
