Shut it All Down
Evidently, the powers-that-be think that black people can't be trusted to behave in 011:
- The Brains over in 011 decided to close the parks at 8pm every night during the holiday weekend. They had officers clearing out families and other park goers a little bit before 8pm. There were even signs posted about a NO PARKING ban too. The only kicker..... the signs said that the ban went into affect starting 03jul. The bosses realizing this (after they were told) still forced park goers out of Garfield Park anyways.
We're told that the parks have remained closed all day - gates locked, cars assigned to make sure no one gets in - so the citizens can't set up a party outpost and fortify themselves for the night where it might take an armored division to dislodge them. We really can't fault the idea. The large parks across the city have been problems in early July for decades now.
However, we are also told that 011 has put their own spin on these things by shutting down two major thoroughfares around the neighborhood.

- 011 is running something called a Summer Operations Closure mission where Independence Boulevard at Congress is shut down with construction barricades and TMA people are directing traffic off the surface streets and either onto the 290 or into the hood. The jams around the neighborhood are immense, running down the exit ramps onto the 290, and cuts the District in half with backups.
We're sure that this has nothing to do with the boss in 011 owning numerous properties around the area, all of which seem to be "hot spots" and all of which have fixed posts just around the corners.

It’s a double edged sword. I’d rather let them have the parks all night until they run out of gas at 5am. Otherwise you are gonna have the problem of them taking over blocks all over the district. Give them the park. Put a team or two to babysit the parks all night and put the rest of the teams in the neighborhood. Otherwise you’re going to have blocks taken over and the inevitable clear the blocks off gone wrong now 10-1s. Who cares about the park. Put 10 cars or two tac teams on the parks and let them do what they do.
nothing to do with DS and his properties. The BLVD is a major artistry street for most of the violence on zone 10. Say what you will but at least it makes some sense when you think about it. That is if you’ve spent any time on zone 10. The other nonsense in the area needs to be addressed, the boxes and fixed posts don’t work, time to re-evaluate the “mission”. Also when you’re moving teams from one area to the other every day it defeats the point of “saturating” an area. It takes more than 8 hrs to figure out what’s going on. Whoever is running that operation needs to be fixed. You can’t have people moving from multiple districts day to day and expect them to fix a problem. This was tried before and failed... why are these bosses trying to recreate these failures?

In my neighborhood park, residents will put on a show, light up the sky, many come out to see it. When its over we will clean up after ourselves and everyone goes home without incident or anything requiring the CPD/CFD, why is that?

Sure sounds like the opening notes of Gentrification. Use the police as your private Monterey without having to pay out, neighborhood already hates police so this will distract focus from the developers.

The State of Indiana is much cheaper for gas, food, clothes etc. If you are smart move to the east and south end of 004 then you are just minutes away from saving thousands in shopping. And all bars and restaurants are fully opened and their economy is bulging.
Look in the parking lots and you will see lots of cars with Illinois plates and Chicago stickers.

Spencer destroyed morale in 011 completely . the most senior officer on the 3rd watch most of the days has 6 years on the job. Officers straight from probation fill out par form just to escape this sinking ship. Keep putting officers 99 on the fixed post like sitting ducks in the worst district, on the wost block in the northern hemisphere.
My comment is what does that say about the community where this lockdown is occurring. Not much.

It won’t work now. We had a commander that said, “lock everybody up, no exceptions, we got your backs!” “if you get an inspectors beef, be polite and we will handle it.”
Doing that, the crime actually was reduced. Sadly, that is now ancient history...... I’ll bet baby “G” has a better idea? ;)

Since jail is not an option neither maniac civic leader wants to consider, using street sweeps makes the agreeable argument that police are the problem and are the ones inciting disobedience, breaking down trust, generally fucking with only the community.
Parks are under LightFührer jurisdiction, but Der RëichsWrinkle had closed the northwest side golfing and forest preserves parking lots on the weekends. Though golf is now permitted, there are No picnics, grilles, coolers, chairs, tents and gatherings of 2 or more in CookCo.
LightFührer and RëichsWrinkle are at battle each other. For some reason KimmëlFxxxxx is being left out of the conflict.
The more they get away with these lockouts the more they force compliance and control in order prepare for the new normal or the New World Order.

There is something inherently wrong with this plan. You close a park, so all the people that were going to use it magically disappear. Is the master plan to get them to go to the forest preserves so they are someone else’s problem.
You maintain parks so folks have a place to go and relax, but when the folks show up you close them. Talk about a reason to protest. I’m not a person of color and even I would be pissed off.
If a person is destined to be shot it doesn’t matter if their in the park or an apartment it’s going to happen. You can’t stop folks from shooting one another that's a given.
Cant be the twin exempt who stole over 100k from the Social Security Admin and pled guilty, could it?
Tell any citizens that query as to why something like closing a park, clearing a corner, issuing tickets etc. is happening, tell them it is orders from city hall. Let them draw a conclusion.

obviously this guy has never worked in 011. the park was open all night for the past few weekends before they decided to do this and it was ridiculous. the blocks were still filled with hundreds of people as well. one less thing to worry about and hold down cars. 1st watch workers are glad they did this.
