Any time there’s a shot’s fired in the hot zones, wait till you have 5 to respond: 2 right at the scene, 1 plainclothes lookout and 2 with long guns ‘cuz it’s probably an ambush.

Regardless of how many died, look at how many more people were shot compared to past years. Think about how many shots had to be fired to get this many hits. Goes to show you how many bad guys there are in Chicago. You can't kill them off.

As bad as June was, I would expect July to be just as bad, if not worse. The old saying is, the trend is your friend until it ends. The trend has shown no weakness, as such my prediction for July is 100 murdered and 500 shot.
The dwarf mayor is just a talking hate spewing mouth piece with no strategy in place to hinder the violence. After July, the new superintendent comes to realization (if he hasn't already) that he made a horrible choice to come here, and is out of office by August 31st, either by his choice or the dwarfs.
In the meantime, stay safe men and women of CPD.

I doubt it's any better in any of those places mentioned. Cop haters and politicians and chiefs that bend with the wind, that's the norm today. How much do they really back ya. Looked at their recruiting video or any other for that matter and it's almost always the same showing mostly little females and officers of color in their recruitment series. Yearly block party to celebrate historical moments for LGBT rights in the USA and in the City of Savannah. Liberal crap they keep pushing here, there and everywhere. Better to escape and do something else. You will be hated there and in a world of hurt if the community doesn't think you reacted the right way.
In Charleston, SC Mayor John Tecklenburg said that in the midst of a pandemic, a horrific murder "tore the scab off of a wound of racism" and has had an impact all over the country. But he said the rioting in Charleston is ironic because the city has been struggling to get to a better place. He cited an city council apology for Charleston's role in slavery and a racial bias audit conducted last year for Charleston's police force. Expect the same pandering in the cities mentioned in the article. Savannah crime numbers showed a 32% uptick in violence in 2019, probably higher now. Myrtle Beach was listed as number 3 in the top 10 most dangerous cities in that state in 2020. Grant to get 10 more officers, but doubt that will change things much. Get out and do something else, only stress to self and family and perhaps complete ruination staying in law enforcement. Look at the fools running Atlanta, plenty more like them about.

One thing to note that we neglected to do so in our list is that this June tallied the most homicides (at least going back to the 50s and likely ever). The Junes of 1990 and 1996 were the previous winners with 90 each.

Off topic, but check out green slips for the overtime period from the riots. They were just posted. The numbers for the people in my unit generally show our hours being off from anywhere between 30-50 hours of overtime. Just like the city to force us to work, then try to screw us out of money.

If I read HeyJackass correctly, the all-time, record-setting, often imitated, never duplicated number of dead in one month is from the mid-nineties...at 90.
So, the record for most killed in one month goes in the books right next to the record for most killed in one day.
As an aside, the recent record year of 2016 didn't reach 50% of the year-end body count until the 2nd half of July.

HeyJackass.com reports over 18 people per day shot. It would be interesting to know how many people are shot AT per day with and without result. That number would really tell how bad it is in the neighborhoods for the innocent law abiding folks who hear those shots and wonder if a bullet is coming through their window. It would be interesting to see those numbers plotted on a time graph, along with the number of dollars "invested" in the community - which is what they are clamoring for to replace the police. I'm certain that you'd see both heading up in tandem. The same for other quality-of-life indicators - non-graduation rates, out-of-wedlock births, incarceration rates, drug-use, graffiti. Yea defend the police then on a holiday weekend when you expect trouble you might be able to get an extra 25 cops on the street instead of the mythical 1200.
