We've heard of FBI agents describe nailing Chicago pols on corruption charges is akin to shooting fish in a barrel. But somehow, they missed the biggest fish of all, year after corrupt year:
- In April 2000, the Chicago Sun-Times published a blockbuster story that rattled then-Mayor Richard M. Daley: His pal Oscar D’Angelo had collected $480,000 or more “to broker a lucrative deal” allowing the W.H. Smith company to keep operating shops for travelers at city-run O’Hare Airport.
The concession deal also stood to benefit two friends of Daley’s wife.
Days earlier had come the news that D’Angelo had given personal loans to a high-ranking Daley aide and his brother.
Daley quickly distanced himself from D’Angelo, who was known as the unofficial “mayor of Little Italy” until his death in 2016 at 84. And the mayor weathered the scandals — after landing in the hospital for what was believed to be a stress-induced visit.
Now, newly obtained federal records show that the FBI began investigating the O’Hare dealings soon after the revelations, though the case ultimately fizzled out, and no one was ever charged.
It's pretty much a sure thing that Shortshanks will go to his grave unindicted and (as some other scumbag once said) "guilty as sin, free as a bird."

Why did they arrest Ghislane Maxwell today, and not months or years ago?
Epstein was arrested by the Feds, but no one raided his Pedophile Island for three whole weeks, giving his fellow perverts plenty of time to clean out the evidence. Why would the US Attorney for the SDNY not charge him with the Mann Act and NOT immediately raid Pedo Island? Why not? Why didn't they also arrest Ms. Maxwell?
Suddenly over the weekend two weeks ago, Geoffrey Berman, the US Attorney for SDNY is fired. Now the Epstein case is suddenly active again. BTW, the case isn't being run by the FBI Sex Crimes Division, it is being run by the Public Integrity Division. That means they are after Politicians and Law Enforcement People that were corrupted by Epstein and whoever was working with him.

I have heard this many times, "Why does a person spend millions of dollars to win election to a job that pays $100,000.00! There's only one reason and that's to separate the $$$$$ from the taxpayers!!! Most recently the city (BROKE, BUSTED & BANKRUPT) began hiring all kind of security in the city for, IMO, $$$$$ the city doesn't have, from benefits not paid to police, fire, city workers. But what do I know, I'm no federal prosecutor like Dan Webb, who can't resolve what every other person with half a brain already knows happened and the guilt goes to a presidential press secretary & a POS States Attorney from a POS guilty idiot!

I used to respect that the FBI did thorough competent investigations and were dedicated civil servants. But now after working at 2111 for a while I’ve discovered that most agents do as little as possible to move there cases along and there is no real motivation for any of them to produce results. All of that claiming credit for interviews and disruption crap is a joke. The only way to stop criminals is to arrest them, put them in jail and take away their power and money. It’s definitely not happening here in Chicago.
Had a discussion with several non police neighbors last night and everyone thinks it’s a good idea to move out of Chicago and Illinois. Worst it’s ever been. Wait until hundreds of businesses who were beat down by the COVID shut down and then the riots decide to never reopen. Bars restaurants brick and mortar retailers. Once that happens Chicago will be taxing the hell out of citizens just to keep the lights on.

Heard that the Feds laid off Daley because he was helping them on a back channel. Given that he spent so many trips to China during the last few years of his term that maybe he's still doing so. Rahm was his connection to Bill Clinton and Daley was close to "W". It's all speculation of course.

States Attorney, the little prick gave the G free rain to set up the 'Operation Greylord' investigation into the Cook Co. court system. Without his knowledge and approval, the investigation couldn't of taken place. Of course all the 11th ward sponsored judges got the heads up to play it legit until the G was gone. All the 1st ward sponsored judges and those made by Marcy/Roti weren't in the loop. Some of these thieving bastards got caught, tried, and convicted. Daley let the G do his dirty work for him, and got a hand full of federal 'get-out-of-jail-free' cards too boot. The convictions of these 'reliable' jurists crushed the 1st Ward, crippled the outfit, and allowed Richie the Chicken Hearted to forge ahead to the mayor's office unimpeded. Unlike his father, little Richie was gangster number one, not the Big Tuna. Pimps like D'Angelo were part of his cadre of useful suck-holes, until they become a liability, and then they're quickly jettisoned. You might be wondering what Fed-snitch Richie did with all of those Fed get-out-of-jail-free cards. He used multiples on his not too bright son, Patrick. Between Patrick's SEC screw ups, Russian-mob cabbie concerns, and wanting to be a 'silent partner' in a sewer contracting scheme, Dirty Richie burned up a lot of federal favors, and not counting his numerous transgressions. A POS like Richie will never have to face the music here, but he'll surely rot in hell one day. Like Pullman, he'll have to buried in a steel reinforced concrete burial vault under an unmarked grave site. If not, no grass will ever grow there due to the uric acid.

I thought airport wrecking was a major crime, Conviction would be easy. I never understand why the Bush administration did not go after him.
We were working near the University on a beautiful summer night. Not a care in the world, so we took a long lunch. When we came back my truck driver was sweeping the street. This was odd because his nickname was "The Cadaver Kid" on account of he was so asleep most of the time he looked dead. Anyway, he was sweeping the street because Oscar pulled up while we were gone and introduced himself as the official attorney of the University of Illinois. (This, after he had already been disbarred.) He tried to intimidate us, but we thought he was kidding or high on pills, so we just humored him. Guy does a 180 and gets all nice, then gives me $10. I'm like, "what's this for?" and he pops the trunk of his brand new black Caddy and starts throwing full size yellow street horses we had over his car, stacking them between his back window and open trunk. (I would never had thought of that, cuz it's crazy) Then drives away with all our horses, leaving the job unprotected. Guy was a fucking weirdo.
