- A 3-year-old child was critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday on Chicago’s South Side.
Police said the shooting occurred near 70th Street and Damen Avenue in West Englewood. Chicago fire officials said the girl was shot in the chest.
She was hospitalized in critical condition. As of 10 p.m. she had stabilized.

Then detail the victims family and the actual circumstances of Fatherless Homes and how it played a deadly role in the incident. Profile the cowardly killers and check to see if early release played a role in the tragedy as well as the lack of a FATHER in the home. Show the struggles of the offenders mothers trying to raise raise multiple children by multiple men in a war zone without an active Father involved. I’d be willing to bet you could construe a formula to predict the probability of a violent incident and maybe a BLACK ADULT ROLE MODEL could call out this behavior. Yeah I thought so it’s just easier to blame police and ask for more money that’s used for nonsense. Never mind, just take a knee it’s easier.

Notified yesterday that both of my days off this weekend (DOG 61 4th and 5th) are canceled. Now why is it that I can take the money option for OT on Sunday the 5th, but not on the 4th of July day off canceled? I am losing $750.00 dollars (20.25 hours at the 20 year pay grade) of take home pay just for having to take the forced time option (20.25 hours) on July 4th. Not only that, but any money earned in OT during the no contract status is retroactive, so that adds up to another $35-$50 dollars in retro pay. Yeah, I know it is part of the current expired contract, but it needs to be changed to force the city to have to pay for OT on holidays. Maybe that will prevent them from canceling days off on holidays.
John C, this needs to be changed in the next contract, or at least put to arbitration. The city of Shitcago knows coppers will piss through any time due accrued and never collect on that money. It is money earned and not repaid. I don't care about the 20.25 hours of CU on the books, I have enough and don't need more CU. The city of Shitcago and the derelicts who occupy City Hall, (all 3 of the last 3 miscreant, corrupt, political hacks) should have to pay money for OT worked, period.
