Labor Day Tourism Idea! Get to a range when you can. Hone your skill set. You can still do an awful lot with dry fire practice at home. I'm an old fat fuck but I can still shoot the ass off a fly with any weapon and with any hand/side. Muscle memory my friends so you don't even have to think.
Again NOBODY WANTS TO but you MIGHT HAVE TO. We've had four guys shot in the last week and were Lucky we havn't had more since these motherfuckers have Loosed Gangster Nation on all of us. You guys are in a war whether you want to acknowledge it or not.
Get sleep, spend time with your family's, go to Gods House, follow the rules, back each other up all the time, get exercise, and train, train, train. This shits for real.

Since the child molestors ( I mean teachers) have their way with home schooling for a while in the fall, and threaten to strike (which I don't know would be legal) I don't understand why we need a week of 12 hrs. and RDO's cancelled? Is something going on that this Dept. is not telling us? Or just scared of possible strikes and massive protests with the lazy ass teachers? Furlough by watch makes more sense for scheduling purposes and man power needs, thus ending the need for furlough relief.
This is only partially true. There will be canceled rdos but only one. Similar to fourth of July weekend. Also detective division will not be part of the 12 hour days just the canceled rdos and they will be deployed downtown on their canceled rdos.

So this is what they are doing as I’m a person on the inside. Don’t get too worked up. The department is playing mind games as usual. They just released the OT story on the sun times about run away OT as they always do. The department is saying September 2-8 on 12 hour days and RDOs cancelled. This will be adjusted to just RDOs cancelled to show how much they really “care about our well being”.

3 employees demanded the bike shop cancel their contract with the department. Shop caved. Soon we will not be sold even the Bologna to feed prisoners. Everyone around us hates us. I live in 016 and see a lot of black lives matter signs in windows. The LE hate is unreal.

I don't show up to work for Groot. I show up to work for the other Police Officers who are there. Every officer who hits the medical for blue flu increases the likelihood of one of us getting hurt because we are working short staffed. You want to act like a CPS teacher? For you young kids get used to the 12 hr days, with the amount of retirements and lack of hiring within 2 years it will have to be the new norm. Groots people are drafting up 2 watches of 5 to 5 with changes every 3 months. We are about to enter into the world of factory workers due to no manpower. The goal is 7500-8000 officers all in uniform and marked vehicles with all dark blue uniforms. Oh each,watch will have a mental health worker assigned to ride with a Sgt every Watch. I’ve seen the projections and rough draft so far it’s insane.

Why do 3rd watch secretaries in 024 get their rdos cancelled and still get to work inside? Many times they are doubled up inside. 2 people to do the sheets? Must be nice.

Many suburban police departments work 12 hour shifts. I've heard pros and cons. One thing is for sure, anything is better than the old 6 on and 2 off, that was brutal.

There's one major difference. Factory workers don't get to work for one of the most incompetent organizations on this planet. 8 hours, 12 hours, we'll still do bare minimum. Catching up on sleep and Netflix along the way. Lighten up a little bit folks. OR... OR... Maybe go get a job in the real world. See how long you last. This is still one of the best jobs out there.
