Dear Paul Vallas

Ditch the doofus goatee. People don't take you seriously with the scruffy look.
Dress for the job you aspire to. This isn't the time to wear your tennis clothes.
Don't parse your phrasing: no mincing, no soft-soaping your verbiage.
Keep your liberal bent a bit under wraps, so middle of the road people won't run screaming in the opposite direction.
Promise to restore some semblance of safety and sanity to our city.
Thank you.

Scarecrow policing, I like that! They city would save a lot of money using scarecrow inflatable police officers and squads. They wouldn't be able to perform any police functions just like the live police whose hands have been tied and ordered to stand down.

Went downtown for the first time in six months. The boarded up windows are depressing. The blue light on every block was great show of force, but it also feels a bit like a war zone. Groot let the city burn twice and for months let roving gangs run lose, really screwed downtown.

Vallas is a true, documented reformer with a boatload of accomplishments. His education reforms have save schools nationwide. CPS rejected his ideas. His financial plans had too much saving and not enough patronage hiring and wasteful spending.
Unions hate him too.

Sure, he was a Daley appointee, just like Claypool another reformer, but Claypool played the Machine game and has 3-4 pensions to prove it. When Vallas instituted his financial reforms it was all good because it saved ShortShanks, but when he wanted to cut more waste and grift, he was ousted from The Machine for exposing those political friends and family handouts.

Voter remorse or complacency? Stay Inside and Off the Beach is that freedom and liberty?
Raising bridges and a census cowboy, what else has Part-time Larri done besides those scarecrow police and the border collie police, both hand-off monitors? If the plywood doesn’t speak Larri’s failure then the stand-don’t lean police should.

Three years is a long time to wait to change that poopy diaper of a mayor.
Vallas needs to stay relevant and I agree that his image and tone needs an update.
Perhaps a petition drive for Recall Larri referendum could be started. Start campaigning Paul.

Yeah... The Daleyites and the old Downtown money men

to face the Hangman for a long overdue neck-stretching
(hopefully while wearing their body weight in chains)

Ok would you rather have Groot or Bill Daley? Easy question. All the a-holes that wanted to prove their point and fuck everything up by voting for Joyce got what they deserved. Daley could have easily beaten Prick with those Joyce votes. Then in the general, he may have been able to weasel his way past Groot. Like him or not, the city would be a hell've a lot better off.

8/26/2020 04:55:00 AM

I’m guessing you were a big Daley guy who thought your whack was back. Truth be told Joyce was in from early on. Joyce was gaining momentum. Preckwinkle wanted it bad, Daley came in as a spoiler and he did what “the machine” wanted, give Preckwinkle a chance. Daley had absolutely no interest in truly moving back to Chicago and getting in this political mess. He was there to help Preckwinkle and put his brother in a better position within Cook County politics. Lightfoot was not even in the mix. Little did they know that at that time Preckwinkle was as despised as much as she was, and the far left snuck right in.

Joyce didn’t run for States Attorney because “the machine” is not ready to dump her yet. Preckwinkle made her and wants her around. Ask Conway about Fioretti. They sent that hack in just in case somehow Conway started actually putting together a good campaign for reasons, other then Smollett, to dump Foxx. Unfortunately that never happened. So now the only hope for good, hard working, and law abiding citizens in Cook County is to vote for O’Brien.

So please stop dwelling and making up BS from a past election that you got bluffed in to believing was a well intended political run and concentrate on the current problem at hand, where we can potentially make start to make a difference, VOTE O’BRIEN in November.

Stop voting democrat.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$

When Jane Byrne was mayor Harold Washington ran against her. Little dick Daley ran as a third candidate. Little dick Daley knew that he assured that Harold would win when he entered the race. The swamp were willing to throw the city in chaos putting in a unqualified person in office in Harold. That started council wars. Well Harold wasn’t that bad. Our biggest problem was he balanced the budget by under funding our pension. The retiree’s had to step up to the plate and take him to court.

Joyce announced early for mayor. And was doing well. His dad had a big falling out with Rahm. Joyce's father got thrown out of the Emmanuel swamp. The daley's were out and he Obama lackey's were in. Bill daley sat on the sidelines till the last minute probably so he wouldn’t have to defend his little brother dick’s dismal record. That’s how larry lightfoot got in. Larry was a better choice that taxwinkle because Foxx would have been even worse if her mentor became mayor.

After two generations of daley’s f@cking over our city I amazed how many pin heads think that they were good from the city.

The Richard Daleys Part I

When Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley died, on December 20, 1976, it was presumed that Ald. Wilson Frost (34), as President Pro Tempore would be Acting Mayor. Because of racism, with Frost locked out of the mayor's office, Frost replaced Ald. Ed Vrydolyak (11) as Finance Chair. Vrydolyak [with assistance of Ald. Ed Burke (14)?]. Vrydolyak chose fellow Croatian Ald. Michael Bilandic (11), with the proviso that Bilandic wouldn't run in the Chicago Mayoral Special Election (June 7, 1977). Ald. Patrick Huels (11) replaced Bilandic, as alderman. State Senator Richard M. Daley wasn't considered for alderman. Why? To be appointed Acting Mayor, he needed to be appointed alderman. Did Vrydolyak block that consideration? Probably.

Reneging on his promise, Bilandic ran for mayor, with the Cook County Democrats' blessing, defeating Ald. Roman Pucinski (41), State Senator Harold Washington and Ed Hanarahan. The younger Daley did not run.

More in Part 2.

The Richard Daley Years Part 2

In April 1979 Jane Byrne defeated Bilandic, having been angered with voters, over the January 1979 Blizzard crippling drivers, CTA, pedestrians and CTA ELs bypassing Black riders. Bilandic had nothing blizzard clean up plans. Bilandic had White Ethnic support, while Byrne had Lakefront Liberal and Black support. Hispanics were split.

Cook County Chair George Dunne never supported Daley (1977, 1979) and Byrne (1979) for mayor.

Byrne dumped Blacks and Lakefront Liberals, for White Ethics, as shown in her CHA and CBOE appointments. Byrne, now a part of the Evil Cabal endorses Burke for CCSA (1980) abd Republican Incumbent Bernard Carey, over Daley who won the CCSA primary and general election (1980). Byrne and Vrydolyak replace Dunne as Cook County Dem Chair with EV (1982).

Cong. Washington defeats Byrne and Daley (1983). Council Wars begin, as EV and EB don't like Harold (because he's Black?). Vrydolyak 29 and Washington 21 battle it out over delayed appointments, until certain wards are remapped, giving EV 25 and HW 25 each, with HW the tie breaking vote. Harold wins again (1987), but dies a few months later, replaced by David Orr (Vice Mayor) briefly, then Ald. Eugene Sawyer (6) over Ald. Tim Evans (4). Daley finally wins (1989).

In 1990, when Cook County Board President George Dunne retired, Finance Chair John Stroger should have ascended to the presidency, similarly as Dunne did replacing Richard Olgivie (who was elected governor) in 1969.

Instead Dunne [also Cook County Dems Chair again 1987-1991, because EV became a Republican] endorsed State Senator Ted Lechowicz, who wasn't a Cook County Commissioner yet. Lechowicz and Cook County Clerk Stanley Kusper battled, losing to Richard Phelan. Stroger won in 1994.

Lying fat man? Didn't your father, if you ever even knew who he was, teach you any respect for the Office of the President of the United States?
