Welcome to the Party Pal

  • Public safety relies on an array of police, prosecutors, judges, appellate courts and elected officials working smoothly together to ensure the criminal justice system is responsible and fair.

But the gears don’t appear to be meshing properly in Cook County — something is clearly wrong — when it comes to recent bond and electronic monitoring reforms, which are intended as alternatives to keeping suspects locked up in jail while awaiting trial.

Most troubling? Some people charged with murder have been going home on electronic monitoring.

    We had better fix this.
Golly gee....ya think?

Some people need to be in jail, sit in jail and remain in jail until trial, especially those with a propensity for threatening witnesses, disregarding bond conditions, and continuing to re-offend while out on (undeserved) bail.

But what do we know? We've only been working in the system for a combined eight decades or so.

See the picture with the story. Leg from the knee down to the foot. The leg was white. Isn’t that racist?

Amazing how the marxist media sets many at ease by these softball admissions:
"Most troubling? Some people charged with murder have been going home on electronic monitoring.

No intention to act against violence at all.

A metaphor for you

The criminal justice system is like the clogged sewer drain in your basement floor after a heavy rain. The police are the push rooms pushing the sewage (shit) into the drain and the state’s attorneys, defenders, judges and the sheriff are the hairy, greasy, clogs forming in the pipe that keep pushing the sewage (turds) back on to the basement floor. The cure: An electric drain cleaner followed by a gallon of liquid Draino.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to the homicide investigation involving the two lawyers in Oak Park? Was it reclassified to murder suicide or is the killer(s) still on the loose?

My neighborhood is full of judges all staggering around during the day with absolutely nothing to do. Not just criminal, but civil too. Dogs getting the living shit walked out of them. I wonder if any of them are pulling overtime? Would not surprise me.

Sheriff Dart closed entire divisions of jail. He would whine when the jail pop was over 5k despite Sheriff Sheehan having as many as 13,500 inmates. The Judges gave him exactly what he asked for.

Cook Co. voters WANT the current state of affairs. That's why they voted for Foxx, Groot and the restorative justice agenda.

In the unlikely even that they have changed their minds and elect O'Brien this November, he should fire every current Cook Co. assistant state's attorney.

Great blog but like most cops you seem to have a blind spot about the effects of the drug war, and its central role in the inner city madness of Chicago and elsewhere. The effects of drug prohibition were EXACTLY THE SAME AS ALCOHOL PROHIBITION. Criminal gangs made bank selling bootleg booze. People miss what's really problematic about this - it's the power on "the street" these gangs of thugs gain by having a real stream of income. Without the underlying business of drugs, gangs and OC have a much weaker social foundation for controlling the streets. Sure, all the other problems you discuss here are valid. I'm with the cops for sure. But I didn't pursue a career in LE or the law (could have easily gone to law school, my rich uncle told me he'd pay) because I could never arrest someone for drugs - or prostitution for that matter. What most cops seem to miss is that their legitimacy is weakened by the drug war. Until we end this, we will have these problems in the inner city. It's not the only problem, of course - but legalization of all drugs as in say Portugal would completely screw these gangbangers. Teen drug use has gone down in Portugal since decriminalizing drugs. They also created laws and civil processes to institutionalize drug addicts for treatment at lower cost and greater success than LE based approaches.

If you are like most cops, you'll give me some BS about other crimes druggies commit or examples of depravity. What you miss is that these laws are fundamentally wrong morally for Americans. We own ourselves as Americans - we are not the property of the state. The state has no legit authority to control me in this way based on natural rights - get that. Cops have so deeply internalized the drug war that they miss this basic truth. It's also true that cops spend a lot of resources on drug law enforcement in terms of UCs, tech, informants, task forces etc. Imagine all that energy was spent on finding every damned gangbanger who shot someone?

So was Larri’s law enforcement partnership summit a dud or did CookCo just skip the round table?

This is mostly on RëichsWrinkle having the authority to order Evans (appointed not elected) around but his ideas aren’t that much different. KmmFxxxUp 2020 is only in this for the exposure and aspirations to come has the ability to direct the corruption evenly.

If the another 25% of registered voters just come out in November, KmmFxxxUp will be gone and sights can then target Prickwrinkle re-election in 2022. Getting rid of her and the judges will no longer fear being shipped out across town because of strict sentencing or wandering off restorative justice reservation.

There’s no point in arrest when all it does is gives COPA a lifeline.
Until Larri and KmmFxxxUp 2020 are gone - Stay fetal, case report will suffice.

This is what happened when the Portland Police was finally able to go hands-on. Very impressive!

The Cops charged the "protesters", who had shields of some type. The first copper that made contact should get an instant promotion. You can tell he'd been waiting for this moment to come.

Toni Preckwinkle and Anne Burke teamed up to create this so-called "bail reform" mess. They sold it as a means to keep non-violent offenders (non-violent current offense and no violence in their past) out of Cook County Jail. They said it would promote fairness and save taxpayer dollars. Preckwinkle got Kim Foxx elected and Anne Burke put pressure on Tim Evans by threatening to remove him as Chief Judge and he folded and capitulated to the Preckwinkle/Burke demands. He ousted all the bond court judges and replaced them with judges who were agreeable to letting everyone out regardless of their crimes. And rather than only allow non-violent offenders out of custody, they began with their real plan to let EVERYONE out of custody regardless of their crimes and that includes murderers and rapists. And here we now sit in the death spiral of Chicago.

How Anne Burke has escaped any scrutiny baffles me. She and Preckwinkle should be help to account for this horror story we all find ourselves in.

I like how just now, after how long of this type of stuff happening, that they finally think “hey, uhhhhh should we be letting people charged with murder just walk around? Seems like a moderately bad idea” thanks dick heads. This fucking moron probably though S/he wrote some profoundly thoughtful article when in reality normal functioning people already knew letting people charged with murder go out onto the street on EM and low bond is fucking stupid and dangerous. The next article written by this “journalist” “water, you should drink more of it when it’s hot”. God these people are a bunch of stupid goose eggs.

The usual suspects again. Ty Sheem Ha Sheem Walters III, 23, is charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Some name, if I only had a newborn to name, this would be it.

Black man kills white man and his 21 year old stepdaughter in South Carolina. And another one shot also. So no big media outrage on this one as they were white. She was a pretty girl too. So sad for the family. And all over a traffic accident and then the scumbag takes off on foot after shooting them. Probably has no DL or insurance. Bet he has an interesting record. I wouldn't want to live there either. Think carefully on a place to retire.

While police officers are working twelve hour shifts and having off days canceled, Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who has proven herself incompetent to lead Chicago, has chosen to leave her well guarded home to take some vacation days out of town.

Too bad those officers assigned to guard her Logan Square home cannot stand down.

The guy that was being chased down by Antifa and fired his weapon is being charged with murder. Funny thing, as the scumbags stood over their dead friends they cried and called out for the police. What a twisted world we have let it become. "Anyone defending themselves against #antifa gets prosecuted, whether by brandishing a gun, driving their vehicle, or using a weapon for self-defense, while many of the same prosecutors let rioters walk. This weaponization of the prosecutorial process threatens the rule of law". - Robert Barnes @Barnes_Law

"When the Black Panthers invaded Chicago’s Little Italy in the 1960s, they were met by Italians on rooftops with automatic weapons. They left very quickly. No looting, no burning. If the government doesn’t act now, we’re likely to see similar militias spring up across the country." - Dinesh D'Souza And with good reason as these dem joke politicians do nothing but pander to criminals.

Kenosha should be a warning to us all. If it can happen in middle america it can happen anywhere. Based off these videos, these people want to die, want to be the next George Floyd, a matryr for the cause. This clown in Kenosha was a felon with a history of violence towards the police and public and on top of it he had a knife. The officers were shouting "put the knife down" and what do you think he was going for next? The woman was screaming "don't do it, don't do it" as he was going to the car. The MSM is a joke, they incite violence by reacting and telling one side of the story. How can this mayor live with himself? Kenosha is not a big city and you grew up with these people and now what do you say to them. These democrats are all operating from the same script to destroy America. We support our men and women in blue. Trump 2020

Ok, and by that same natural rights argument the state has no legit authority to prohibit me from carrying a loaded sidearm everywhere I go. But why stop there? The state also has no right to tax me and no duty to inject junkies with Narcan so they can continue being burdens to us.....get that?

You are clueless about the realities of the "drug war." Go to any branch court in Cook Co and you will see hack judges routinely ignore Illinois law to dismiss cases against dopers carrying dealer amounts of drugs. "I find no probable cause." Dumping drugs cases is done wholesale and as a matter of policy. Drugs have been de facto legal in Cook Co for decades.

But go ahead, make all drugs legal -- but only if I get to carry a sidearm and stop paying taxes. And no more Narcan injections or useless and costly taxpayer funded rehab or bullshit "drug courts."
