Brennan concealed evidence that Putin supported Clinton - because he had all sorts of evidence with which to blackmail her.
Now there is ample evidence that two of most powerful investigative arms of the US Government were actively working to bring down the duly elected president. If you don't know or remember what the Church Committee was back in 1975, you ought to read up on it because these abuses are eerily reminiscent of those days.

The FBI has always been a political organization. The main thing is that after Hoover, the Bureau became a pawn rather than a player. As far as the Agency, any and all that have dealt with them know that trusting those clowns is foolish at best, lethal at worst. Which has been all too common. J. Edgar Hoover did some amazing PR work selling the FBI as the premier law enforcement agency in the world, and that reputation has stuck with them ever since.
The only real thing the FBI brings to the investigative table is money. Lots of it.

In every other Allied Nation, Foreign Counterintelligence is strictly seperate from Domestic Law Enforcement. The US is an anomaly because we combine both Foreign Counterintelligence and Domestic Law Enforcement in the Bureau. This unfortunate state of affairs stems from the bad decision by Roosevelt to assign enforcement of the Neutrality Acts of 1935 (1936?) to the Bureau, following the aggressive lobbying by J Edgar Hoover. That the enforcement of these laws had a Foreign/ International nexus gave the Bureau a foot- in- the- door in Foreign Counterintelligence. Next, Roosevelt authorized the Bureau to effect liaison with police/security agencies throughout the Western Hemisphere under the cover of the Legal Attaché ( LEGAT) Program ( still in effect under Bureau International Operations Division in at least 30 countries). Roosevelt prohibited the Office of Strategic Services from operating in the Western Hemisphere and assigned clandestine collection to the Bureau’s Special Intelligence Service.

Conduct Pike Commission inquiry similar to the Agency and exposed the corruption.
Fracture the FBI into two separate functions: one criminal and for Intel/CI. Move the Intel/CI outside the Beltway. Fill in the the necessary support services. Dump the Director. Reform the FISA process immediately. Durham prosecutes everyone M/F involved in the coup plot. Set up Commission Monitor(s) with timelines and publicly (similar to a Consent Decree) and report periodically to the nation. Now you have a good start to reform the corrupt organization.
