- Just weeks into September, homicides in Cook County have already passed the total for all of last year, with nearly all the victims people of color, according to the medical examiner’s office.
The office — which investigates all accidental, suspicious and indigent deaths in the country’s second-most populous county — said Tuesday it has recorded 677 homicides this year, passing 2019′s total of 675.
Cook County had 487 homicides by this time last year, the office noted.
And surprise surprise:
- Chicago — which has struggled to contain street violence — makes up most of the county total, with 565 homicides within the city limits through Tuesday morning, according to the office. The totals include homicides committed on expressways within the city, as well as reclassified cases that were initially inconclusive.
And the Medical Examiner makes the Channel 7 iTeam their bitch:
- The medical examiner’s office noted that minorities make up 95% of all the 2020 homicide deaths, with about 79% African American and 16% Latino.
Proportionally, this is all wrong because - as Channel 7 is always pointing out - the city is almost evenly divided among black, brown and white and therefore, crime stats should be evenly divided among the racial rainbow....like traffic stops.

Probably less, since the statistics are only given for the race of the deceases, not the race of the suspect who killed them.

I've thought about this a lot, and the answer is "sort of" because you'd need to control of poverty and who would step in to control the demand for illicit drugs and other vice. Basically white organized crime would take root and we'd still have turf wars and tiffs and the like. Now, would we have some asshole getting shot because he was on Facebook live rapping about how much the other side sucks - probably not as much but I'm sure it would happen.

Yes.
Any time some European starts talking about how America needs stricter gun laws like they have, I point out that if we had the demographics Europe has, we would have their murder rate or lower. 13% commit over 50% of the murders and commit WAY more than their share of assaults, rapes, robberies and thefts. Those are now "hate facts" but it doesn't change the fact they are true. People like to blame poverty but I don't understand how poverty causes you to shoot someone at a backyard BBQ because they scuffed your shoes,to assault people you have never spoken to from behind or to rape. Unless we are talking about poverty of morals, that I can get behind.

Never happen. These are the ones who continually vote democrats because they're told to, then complain about the damage the Dems cause, only to vote for the same garbage next election cycle. Now, I know most democrat "votes" are fraudulent but these people STILL praise the trash. Illinois is probably the most corrupt state in the country and it is because of generations of Democratically elected officials.
Call me crazy but I think Trump may win in a landslide. Despite what dems think, not all blacks and Hispanics are brainless Sheep. Supporting the far left is going to hurt them for years to come and the defunding the police is crazy to them. They are like the whites who are mute about their political views but the blacks and hispanics I know when the shit hits the fan they are burning down their neighborhood. When these gangbangers get arrested they are so happy to see them gone.
I think if only real votes were counted, it would be a landslide. But big-city machines(madigan- Chicago) have been casting votes for people who don't vote, or are dead, or are illegal, or who never existed, for many, many decades, and have been all along getting ever more expert, and more ruthless, about doing it.
We will see movement, and what we see will be big enough to be called historic, but what we are allowed to see will be much smaller than the real change that is happening.
Vote Republican, restore law and order and American values.
If the country survives this election intact, or even if it doesn't, putting in real verification of voter identity is an absolutely vital change. ID isn't enough, it is too easy to fake. Thumbprints are better. If funny business is detected, you start the investigation with the thumbprint of the person who claimed to be that person. And poor people and minorities have thumbs as much as anybody, so the Dems would have to shut up about that too.
