Protestors are using real time "dox-ing" to harass and terrorize Officer families. And here's more proof:
- Rochester Police Department (RPD) officers have been given permission to cover up their names displayed on their tags to avoid harassment from left-wing protesters, who are screaming out their home addresses, kids’ names and schools, and making taunting calls to their parents in front of them. They are also spreading personal information about the cops via social media.
“The past couple of months officers names have been researched by protesters to put personal information out to the public, putting the safety of their families in jeopardy,” said a statement from RPD Chief La’Ron Singletary, who announced his resignation earlier this week.
“Officers have been allowed to remove their name tags in an effort to prevent their personal information from being spread on social media,” Singletary added.
And for all those who claim that the "rioters" wouldn't do such things, we refer you to yesterday's post about Mt Greenwood. they didn't pick that neighborhood at random and they didn't target houses at random either.

The imbecile Groot doesn’t care about your families, in terms of her special status as the ruling class she’s important your not. She hates the police period, what else can be said. If there is not some resolution regarding wearing of name tags, get a name tag made with your name in Russian or galic or Latin. Can’t remember exactly what the order mandates, but if you have the correct name but in a different language are you compliant?

I was thinking the same thing- especially since we have to live in this shithole. FOP needs to negotiate this into our contract. We need not a star number & name, but some other type of ID # that if the public has a legitimate beef, fine, they can search us anonymously and see our discipline history etc, but personal names should only be released for a legitimate purpose (arrest & charging, Line of duty death, etc). The public having access to our personal information to only do harm & harass is ridiculous. Officers being ambushed is legitimate reason enough for all of us to fear for our safety and family’s safety. I

Simple solution and the department cant do anything about it. The fabulous green safety vest. Put it on when out on the street during protests. I mean they always have the vest in the orders? So wear your traffic safety vest it covers all your identifiers and is approved by the dept.

Even if you opt out of social media so much info is available on line.
If you own your home tax records are online in most places.
A quick google search of star # reveals the officer's name as well. Both name and star should be concealed when dealing with these scumbags. If you get called out by a supervisor, take the hit and fight it through the proper channels. A cr is better than giving up your identity. Make them work for it. CPD will happily hand over our info if video is produced, so we are delaying the inevitable, but they wont get it in real time and announce it to their fellow scumbags while you're on the line. Remember the political class and media are all out to destroy us and the department is facilitating the intimidation, slander and attacks on us. They prefer a police funeral to a dead, armed shithead.
Open source information is out there for anyone to easily google your home address. Here are the things I’ve done to limit my open source info:
Search your name on the internet. Request the pages to remove the links.
Put utilities in spouse or room mates name
Put tax bill in spouse name only OR spouse First Name Middle name “and” your first and middle name then Last name. The open source searches will limit the info and it will be more difficult to find you. Trust me on this.

it will limit the info on line 1 thereby ending after the spouse name. These are public records and available for all to see without FOIA if you know how to look for it.
Also for example. The home where the current Chicago Mayor resides on Wrightwood is listed on tax documents as some acronym and not her or her wife.
There’s a shitload of ways to limit your info being out there. Be careful what you put online. It’s VERY easy to find out who you are and where you live.

Another idea for the FOP fight for residency to protect our families.
Do what I did. Get a generic “Smith” or “Jones” Or whatever name tag to wear when necessary on the outer garment. Works well. I got the comment once “gee Officer, you don’t look Spanish” from my “Garcia” name tag. If asked by anyone-oh I borrowed Smiths jacket. I forgot to take the tag off.
A decent gold star requested that in June. Was denied. Our info stays visible, for all of Antifa to see.

The "name tags must be worn" G/O was written before phones had cameras and internet. Doxing is real. The FOP should be tellng their members not to wear name tags, and the Department should be behind the safety of it's officers.
DHS started doing this in Seattle. They issued the agent's alpha numeric tags that replaced names and badge numbers. This prevented doxing while still allowing protesters to file complaints. I sent the info to FOP awhile back.
One of our guys always carried a fake name tag with him. It said "Fyuk Yu" on it.
During NATO, a piece of black tape was given a blind eye, even silently approved by the higher-ups. I wouldn’t do it today. No internal support. It was a fairly newly incorporated city, which required its few officers to live in the city. I went to high school with the two daughters of a the police captain. Those two girls had nothing buy trouble, as every shithead in the school tried to exploit them and try to get them to do drugs.. I think it didn't turn out to well for these two girls. And don't buy that bullshit that the good kids will support you kids, they won't, they are kids themselves with all the attendant problems of being a kid.

What do we want? How about just letting us know what’s going on? We’re into our 4th year with no contract. My paycheck has been the same for over 5 years while everything around us has gone up. Negotiating with the hating Lightfoot is futile. That’s great for JCat that he gets invited to the White House and loves Trump but what does that do for Chicago cops? Trump doesn’t give us a contract or fund the pension.

This should have been done already. Jurisdictions all over America have fought it. The city may not have a choice now. If they don’t get rid of residency they will have a very very hard time getting people to take this job. It’s very undesirable and when you’re told you must live in Chicago also, the potential applicants will go to other departments that don’t force them to live in that town. Residency is antiquated and a deal breaker for young candidates.
Officers should make a mission statement why name tags are a safety issue and why they will no longer wear them after a certain date. They should sign the statement and send them to the relevant parties i.e.the mayor, the inspector General, police board members, your alderman. Demand the above parties find an alternative to name tags to preserve the safety of the officers in the family. The FOP should have already addressed this issue. You guys can only win if you are united in your pursuit.

Do a little research instead of moaning and you will learn why you were hog-tied to residency the moment you accepted this job. A lawsuit in the current, and seemingly never-ending environment, will be wasting your union dues. The entire state, from top to bottom including the courts, is run by the democrats. I hate seeing her emails and seeing her in general. There are also 3rd party companies that will get your information removed off the Internet and also monitor your personnel information in case it pops up again. Fop maybe we can get a group rate for one of these companies?? Something worth looking into. Keep up the good work
A nametag must be worn by GO, but it doesnt have to be your real name, if they let weirdos identify as a male/female or different color then I can have any name I want.. Everybody should get a nametag made the same name dist and badge #..lol
You can buy one online for $20.00. My custom made name tag says B. Nasty.
