Interesting FOIA Request
FOIA is an interesting animal. It's the law, of course, and the City maintains a rather large database for requests and results. What many people don't know (and we didn't know either) is that even the requests are public knowledge.
You have to submit a name, an e-mail and a summary of the requested information. You'd think that an enterprising reporter might keep an eye on these requests to see what other people are looking for, especially in terms of scandals.
This one is right out there in public view from an outfit called the Truth Finder Media Team:
- "1) Any disciplinary file associated with a sexual relationship between Deputy Superintendent Eric Carter and any subordinate including, but not limited to, former Director of Labor Relations Winter Jackson. 2) Any actions taken by Deputy Superintendent Eric Carter to delay the implementation of a sexual misconduct policy, as required by the Federal Consent Decree supervised by Hon Maggie Hickey and Hon Robert Dow. 3) Any disciplinary action taken by Superintendent Brown to discipline Deputy Superintendent Eric Carter for sexual misconduct, or for delaying the implementation of the sexual misconduct policy as required by the Federal Consent Decree."
You just go to this link, change the menu settings to "descending" and it's right up there at the top. That looks like a rather largish and embarrassing scandal if they're asking for documents by name.
Groot is running one Hell of an operation, and the biggest problem is (and continues to be) the people up top, those behind the top people and those recommending top people are just as dirty, scummy and corrupt as the ones up top.

I’m by no means a perfect person. I’ve been thru a divorce, had a few not so happy break-ups & felt like I was losing my marbles on more than one occasion; however I gotta say, these bosses make my life look I got my life together.
What’s so nasty about Lightfoot is she treats the lowly foot soldiers on the street who are constantly asked to do the most dangerous things, abused to no end, and bashed constantly, while the people doing the most damage and embarrassing the CPD the most are at the top. The useless, corrupt media are paid propagandists not true reporters. Hell they can't even spell or write properly, they don't even bother to fix errors on their own site. Funny thing, in Detroit as well as Chicago, people complaining about the blatant mistakes and rank amateurish reporting and writing get blasted on their social media sites not the reporter and station they work for. That's Amerika today.

One thing I do know is that Carter has been a target for a long time and has come out unscathed. This is one of the only CPD bosses that I have never heard of having slept around. I would bet my last dollar that someone very knowledgeable of CPD did just this to plant the seed. We are always guilty until proven innocent. This shall be interesting none the less, but I doubt very seriously if anything is there. And they could have picked a better candidate than a person who is no longer employed by CPD. None of that request would even relate to him or her. A subordinate maybe, but that is pushing it.
Maybe some of the criminalz FOIA themselves to keep track of what they need to be covering up?

I've said for years that CPD really does deserve a consent decree solely on account of command staff shenanigans. If a private entity attempted even a fraction of what your command staff regularly does, it would have been totally pwned by regulators years ago.

I’m no Carter fan, but they picked the wrong guy. The FOIA response is public knowledge also. I’ll wait for that before I make any judgement, but if this isn’t true, this is really fucked up.
CPD FOIA Requests can generally take 2 weeks. But, if you piss someone off, a month at the earliest.
By far the worse city entity to get responses from is CPS. Think 1-2 months now as the CPS FOIA Dept is now being run under Ed Burke's buddy Joseph Moriarty. Moriarty is the insider contract man for CPS and gives out taxpayer money to "like Somebody, somebody sent" like candy at Halloween. But, free info in FOIA's trickles out like molasses from CPS Law.
One recent CPS Request did turn up that Pedro Soto, Jr.'s highest level of education was his high school diploma from Quigley South. If you recall, Soto was recently found guilty for lying to the FBI on things to do with the bidding on CPS janitor contracts.
Soto, Jr. elevated to Chief of Staff for CPS CEO Dr. Janice Jackson. Dr. JJ obviously neglected to vet him just like Jadine Chou (CPS Security head) and Matthew Lyons (CPS Talent head) both poorly vet security guards and allow nearly all of them to be hired without 2-3 years of security experience.
Now, getting back to Soto, Jr.'s FOIA Request. CPS was asked for the following:

After a long career in the Chicago Police Department, I went into private industry, a rather large conglomerate of three corporations. The difference in how things were done and how we were treated was stark and noticeable. I was treated with respect. There were some affairs going on but if it was between any supervisor or department head and anyone in direct or indirect reporting, then heads would roll. In my time on CPD the affairs between gold stars and subordinates were too numerous to count. Even a Deputy Superintendent had so many he was the topic of conversation weekly in the HQ building. Of course, nothing happened to him and he went on to a stellar career in Cook County Government. Now with merit promotions, there are added incentives for these things to go on, as we can see with recent scandals with the former superintendent. Department rules need to be changed to make these affairs immediate demotion and possible termination. That is the only way they will stop.

And it's not just the city, but the entire nation.
I've needed an enema exactly twice. Did not look forward to it. Did not enjoy it. But definitely needed it.
Four years ago and after 8 years of Obama/Biden/Clinton the nation was in exactly the same condition. When Trump was elected the Dims knew that the enema was beginning and fought against it with everything they had. That continues to this day. It's not pretty. And it's not over.

Visited City Hall Department of Development today for official business. Asked one of the officers at the lobby where the bathroom was located and her response to me was "unless you work here bathrooms are off limits to the public". Are my taxes paying to keep the building up and running or does CPD fully finance the place. Should have stepped outside and pissed on the building wall instead.
You look at all these bozos with fucked up personal lives and they keep promoting these fuck ups ! If your personal life is a mess how are you supposed to be a leader on this department ? They think we don't know about these clowns , the boozing bosses hitting cars in other suburbs , in their neighborhoods and even a boss who plowed into an 008th district car on a street stop. OT. New orders came out today. No tact or mission team will begin before 1600 hrs.
No Tact teams will be sent downtown, instead Districts will send watch personnel to 001 and 018 every watch. 97 PO’s (49 cars plus three wagons) on 1st watch, 80 PO’s (36 cars and three wagons) on 2nd watch, and 102 PO’s (56 cars and three wagons) on 3rd watch.
Most 2nd watch personnel will be on foot patrol.

I’ve worked in IAD for many years. I’ve investigated many cases. I started out at the I G’s office. We’ve never received any type of allegation in relationship to him on any level of a personal matter. Without sharing what we do, everything was done prior to him being offered the job because of the Superintendent Johnson scandal amongst others that did not make it to this level of publicity. I will simply say that CPD is his life. The request has questionable tracings and points back to persons within CPD. We are finding that this was all done with a specific intention that was successful. Look at the conversation here. It’s no truth to the allegations, but it is great truth to the reference to the Consent Decree and the embarrassment a few have faced based on their own incompetence and his for lack of a better comparison, military demeanor and him just moving the chess board and removing the pieces that don’t fit, regardless of who they belong to. The stigma associated with this is quite unfortunate when it’s not substantiated in any way, but that’s the price you pay when you choose to be in charge. I agree with the above poster, the grand finale will be quite interesting. Watch the movement and watch the retirements in the next 2 weeks. This regime takes no prisoners. Cleaning house they are doing.

It does not matter it doesn’t matter who the superintendent is the deputy it does not matter who sits at the top it Hass to be the mayor the mayor runs the show we have to have a new mayor we have to have a pro police mayor may be a former superintendent who understands police work and the things that need to be done I don’t think will ever see that not in our lifetime it’s a catch 22 once you become mayor even if you were the police you’re gonna want to stay mayor and in order to do that you’re going to placate to the masses so that you can stay in power and eventually you’ll break down and you’ll wind up doing everything that we hate as police just to stay in the mayor it’s a no-win situation here in Chicago the only way to win is to leave that is much harder than it seems especially if you have time on the job all you could do is live it out I have 20 years on but I don’t have The age so if they would just drop the age I would leave gladly I would take my 20 years and my insurance and I would go away

Mark you’re calendar for (32 DAYS.) 12 hour days are back starting 31 Oct for Halloween thru at least 02Jan if not longer. 20 Jan is the day Trump wil hopefully assume his second term.
