A homeless man is facing felony charges after he found a gun and decided to fire near the Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park — just to make sure it worked, prosecutors said.
Police responded to a call of shots fired on the 300 block of East Randolph around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and met with a witness who pointed officers toward a man down the street who shot the gun, according to prosecutors.
Cops approached the man, 46-year-old Todd Seng, and allegedly found a loaded handgun in his pants pocket during a pat-down search. Seng told cops he found the gun about a week ago.
He said he wanted to see if it worked, so he shot it “into a mountain” at Millennium Park to make sure nobody got hurt, an assistant state’s attorney said during Seng’s bond court appearance Wednesday.

Groot has added more bums in the downtown area to help with the local ambiance of the boarded up area. More businesses and limousine liberals will flee further depressing property values and making Chicago even less desirable to be here. Hell, with 4 victims short of 600 murders and nearly 3200 shootings who in their right mind would stay in this Socialist Democrat run and bankrupt city.
20 foot alligators in 014, rodeo on the dan ryan, pee pee bum shooting at a mountain in grant park, and the bug eyed rat from madagascar sitting in the big chair. Who needs a circus, we have it every day here.
So now even the homeless are armed. Won't be long before they start robbing instead of begging. Just another reason to avoid downtown. Between the bums and community partiers not a good place to be. Oh yea, forgot about the riots, looters, car jacking and Red Line Marauders. An armored car service will start door to door service to the few high end restaurants and McCormick place.
What charges? Why bother?
