Building on yesterday's "Here Comes Smoke and Mirrors" post, this is what Shakespeare has been up to:
- 014th District has been very creative. Officers from 3rd watch have been "penciled-in" on the 1st watch sheets.

There's more officers on the Mayor's detail than the entire watch on midnights for the entire 014th district.
The mayor's sidewalk is more important that the citizens in 014th district.
We have received a couple copies of the midnight sheets from 014, but it has all the names and star numbers included. It takes time (that we seem to have less of lately) to block out all of the info that certain people shouldn't have, so we can't really use them in a timely manner.
Whomever is sending us the sheets (and feel free to send them for every District, especially when you're shorthanded, down cars, short supervision, etc.), please use a marker to black out the names and stars.

What are they going to do? Uh, significant punishment would be forthcoming that could include termination. To a lesser extent maybe just a significant suspension and a brick put on your for the rest of your career. Wanted to be a detective? That won’t happen. Sgt? Kiss it good bye. As someone who works for a sheriff’s police department, let me clarify: the sheriffs do whatever the people want so they stay in office. And they are especially obedient to the county executive/county board - who controls their salaries, their budgets, their policy, etc. If you think any sheriff works for the people, you are naive. All bosses are merely political puppets.

The monstrosity that destroyed historic Soldier Field could have been built built cheaper and more intelligently than arguably the ugliest Eurotrash stadium were 2/3 of the seats are crappy tiny seated nosebleeds that take advantage of some of the most loyal fans in sports. Perhaps she should open up all those abandoned units in 007 and move all the low-income housing there instead of neighborhoods like Old Town, Lincoln Park, Roger's Park, Andersonville, and Uptown.
