Is This Something?

An insider speaks?

  • Is this SOP at union halls? The employees at CTU send disappearing texts and go to their cars to have surveillance free phone conversations. Yes, the police abolitionists have surveillance equipment all over the Carroll Street bunker.

They also have plenty of security guards yet want no security in the schools. Intimidation is rampant at Carroll street and the employees who are in the teamsters locals have had to file workplace grievances against CTU-how ironic is that?

Who is running CTU? Let's see we have Richard Berg, organizer, who has a life time ban from the teamsters, Matt Luskin, organizer, who is married to an SEIU official. Luskin has a GED and is making twice what a teacher earns. NEITHER HAS EVER WORKED AT CPS! Berg makes trips to Venezuela and Cuba.

WTF are we organizing when teachers and PSRPS can't even get supplies? We have at least two CTU employees who were fired by CPS and have a DNH designation which means they can not go on CPS property. Who in the hell are they helping if they are unable to go into the schools?

So you get fired from CPS yet the CTU hires you? We have the Larry Suffredin and Brandon Johnson double dipping/ghost pay rolling scam. CPS has ordered the clerks into the buildings and CTU offers no direction to the clerks who are stuck in the middle of this fiasco.

CTU has the balls to raise the dues yet offers no services. The Chicago education reporters are too lazy to delve deeper into the CTU machinations.

Perhaps the teachers ought to be looking at who is "representing" them....and where their money is going.

From keywiki:
READ ABOUT RICHARD BERG

“According to Orinoco Tribune:[3]
We are rank and file teachers and strike captains (Valeria Vargas, Fabiana Casas and Sarah Chambers) from the historic Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) charter strike in May. We are going on a teacher delegation to Venezuela with Maria Moreno, the Financial Secretary of the CTU, and Richard Berg, a CTU charter organizer.
Orinoco Tribune contacted Richard Berg in Chicago and he indicated that the CTU has taken a very straighforward posture about Venezuelan current events and in that sense their rank and file were very interested in learn first hand about labor movement in Venezuela and the efects of the US unilateral coercive sanctions.
“We are interested in show solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution and the Venezuelan people and at the same time we want to interact with Venezuelan labor union leaders with focus on teacher unions to learn from them how they have counter US sanctions and to inform them about our recent victories in the US, like the recent strike CTU organized in Chicago”, answer Berg to our request about the delegation.[4]
Bergol.PNG
CTU Organizer Richard Berg, Javier Castillo, Special Education Teacher Sarah Chambers, English Teacher Fabiana Casas and Math Teacher Valeria Vargas were part of a delegation of members from the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) arrived in Caracas, Venezuela mid-July 2019.
Their goals were to learn what they could from Venezuela’s Bolivarian Revolution, exchange views on effective education and to show solidarity with the students, teachers and social movements of Venezuela.
The trip falls on the heels of a union resolution that was passed by the CTU Executive Board and House of Delegates. The resolution calls for an end to U.S. intervention in Venezuela. Delegation member and CTU Area Vice President Sarah Chambers explains, “Through major economic hardships, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro never closed a single public school or a single health clinic. This stands in stark contrast to our experience in Chicago, where Mayor Rahm Emanuel closed 50 public schools and several mental health clinics in a single year.”
The teachers’ delegation met with leaders from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Communes, Ministry of Education, Adult Education Teachers, and students, as well as on-the-ground activists.
One important meeting was when the delegation sat down with Vladimir Castillo, the Venezuelan Director of International Affairs. They learned that Chavez started to talk about socialism in 2005, at the World Social Forum in Brazil, and that a few years after 2007 and 2008, community councils emerged as a result.
Chicago DSA forum

In October, 2008 Chicago Democratic Socialists of America , with In These Times, sponsored a panel discussion featuring Bill Fletcher, Jr. (Solidarity Divided); Richard Berg, new president, Teamsters Local 743; David Moberg, senior editor, In These Times; and moderator Kim Bobo, executive director, Interfaith Worker Justice.[5]“

STUDYING THE VENEZUELAN BOLIVARIAN REVOLUTION? It appears Berg leans to the far Left. These are the people running the Chicago Teachers Union. No wonder they are so radical. What is in store for us and the children in the schools. Stay tuned for our own revolution. Chicagoans wake up!!!!!!

Communist front for funneling monies to designated candidates. The elites always get paid higher wages on the backs of those they say they champion, while really not caring for them.

Why aren't Chicago education reporters reporting on the mess at the CTU?

It's because many of the reporters are in the pickets of many CTU and CPS higherups?

Which Chicago reporters are the worst at getting info and then leaking it back to CPS and the CTU?

Channel 2's Dororthy Tucker (reporter) and two of their producers (Michelle Youngerman and Dan Kraemer).

Sun-Times reporter Lauren Fitzpatrick, she is used by the head of CPS Law (Josephy Moriarty) to put people. Moriarty fed her the ethics violations with Claypool and Marmer.

Any reporters from Block Club Chicago, The Tribe, and sometimes WBEZ/Sarah Karp. Moriarty feed Karp the info on BBB and SUPES.

Why does Chicago's public schools continue to have the lowest test scores in the nation? The system has the highest budget in the USA yet not one news person e ver comments on this deplorable situation.

I think that the Civic Federation is promoting the layoff proposals for the city as part of the solution to the collapse of City finances and they are very opposed to a large property tax increases. Lightfoot's own budget director is also pushing for layoffs of city workers and it will include police officers inevitably who are in administrative positions, and a freeze in replacing retiring officers. Even if Biden gets elected there will be no bailout of Chicago large enough to prevent layoffs the revenue hit Chicago has taken is massive. If Trump gets reelected he is totally opposed to bailing out Chicago. The state of Illinois even if the Constitutional amendment eliminating the flat state income tax passes will only prop up pension funds and not the operating budget of the City. Is it likely we will see yet another increase in crime, yes. It is also likely Chicago will see its population continue to drop and creep towards becoming another Detroit with vast tracks of the city emptied of people and the happy home for roving packs of coyotes.

Maybe the good news it that the radical CTU will burn down their schools first, cook themselves out of a job, chase the frog and Big Toni and a few others out of office and we can begin again anew but wiser!! Good to hear the Fed. Government isn’t keen on offering help.

Wouldn't it be something if CPD patrol starting enforcing all those traffic rules on the truckers going through the city, some are pricey tickets and when handing over the tickets should say complements of the CTU ! Maybe then one union could have a little word in the ear of another union !

CTU is a corrupt organization who does not have teachers' best interest in mind. I quit teaching altogether in March, but prior to that spent 10 years in CPS and six years as a delegate. Their monthly meetings used to be open to the public, but now it's all on Zoom you must register. The executive board are race-baiters and anybody who does not fall in line with their far left agenda is squashed. They provide no help unless you fall into the right categories for the oppression olympics.

At one time, the USA had the beat education results in the modern world. A bunch of communists infiltrated our universities and started teaching marxist foolishness and we eventually get DC, Baltimore and Chicago public schools where it costs nearly twice what a private school costs to educate illiterate dummies. In the name of fairness, they made sure social malcontents sat in the same classrooms as students whose parents actually wanted their children to learn, but that's not fair, dumb down the whole system so even the smart, motivated kids become uneducated, but that dose of indoctrination has worked wonders, hasn't it? Little Mary can't read and write or reason well, but she sure can get her little fat ass out and protest, can't she?

We're doomed, the left has won and the reason we got Trump as president is because of the EPIC failures of our political system. When he wins this election in January or whenever it is finally tallied, watch for his assassination, to complete the coup d'etat that started when he rode down that escalator. Where will your social security come from when the US is splintered into 2 separate countries or possibly more?

The problems with layoffs is that the biggest part of the payroll of the city is those lousy teachers and cops. The police staffing is always reduced some, every time there is a budget problem. I really haven't heard of any cuts to the government subsidized baby sitters at the public schools. They better start and start right now. Use the police plan, there's lots of teachers, don't replace the ones that retire and begin consolidating schools again. If the city tries to layoff some teachers, I could envision the marxists at CTU calling for a strike because it always works. I need my baby sitter! Give them what they want!

There's a limit to how many garbage men and these other city employees they can get rid of. The problem with the city is this, you don't want to hear it, there are too many and they have generous fringe benefits and pay. I've been looking at city jobs and the shitty paying ones pay nearly 50k per year to start. Now, granted, Chicago is an expensive place to live but these costs are killing the regular taxpayers. Staffing levels and pay have to be addressed or the only ones paying these taxes is going to be city employees and whatever businesses are left.

I could care less about the CPS liberal/communist teachers. All I heard from them during the strike was that “we are striking for the kids”
We all knew that this was EXCREMENT but they won their strike and now they’re sitting at home collecting. Meanwhile the CPS students from lower income areas have a- at home - attendance rate of under 30%. Lower income parents that depend on CPS schools to teach and take care of their kids during school hours, while both parents go to work have lost out on that support mechanism. I guess the CPS teachers need to be safe. Meanwhile Catholic school teachers are teaching in school making half the salary of a public school teacher.

Someday a reporter in this town might do a human interest story on CPS teacher hypocrisy but don’t hold your breath.
Oh- you coppers...just get back to work - no contract for you

One of the DNH'd former CPS teachers employed by the CTU is a know-it-all, big mouth bully named Martin Ritter. Ritter was arrested for sexually harassing a journalist im 2013 in one of the CTU's non-violent protests.

Obviously, Ritter's twinkie is as big as the late Johnnie C. Holmes' twinkie was because he was questioning a journalist about why his penis is so small. How would Ritter know how big the journalist's twinkie is? Does he do the sneak a peek at the urinal at others?

Check out the video and story here:

http://rebelpundit.com/2-chicago-teachers-union-officials-arrested-for-battery-after-sexually-harassing-journalist/

Ritter talks so much shit that he considers himself a brown person. He claims to know everything about CPS, Chicago, and politics yet he only worked for 4 years for CPS from 2007-2011.

Starting out at Hyde Park HS, then getting cut and working as a new school and charter supervisor before getting cut again. Next up, a year at Multicultural Arts HS as a teacher, then cut from there and the second time as teacher. Finally, his last yeaching gig was at Marshall HS, where he was cut for the 3rd time as a teacher. But, not only was he cut this time, CPS gave him a DNH designation as well.

Ritter helps recruit nefarious and extremist type people to riot for the CTU and protest to degund the police. Count J'mal Green and Ariel Atkins as two of them.

I won't be surprised when the state finds that the learning levels of Chicago Public schools kids is no better from remote E learning then when the kids were sitting in the classroom. I taught at the city college level and then at the college level for 10 year and had plenty of their graduate ( I use that term loosely) in my classes. Their level of knowledge was not adequate for college work, not even close. Nothing but social promotions. Now I understand the need for racial politics and affirmative action for without that the pass rate on entrance and promotion exams would be dismal for blacks and browns.
