Silly games going on over on Washington:
Kevin Graham, the former president of the Chicago Police Department’s largest union, was suspended from the organization for 3 years on Wednesday for leaving behind a tiny camera that continued to record in his old office while it was occupied by his successor, and not telling him about it, officials said.
Graham, however, has denied any wrongdoing and plans to appeal the decision.
In an interview with the Tribune Wednesday evening, Graham indicated the decision by the Chicago lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police was flawed since it was handed down by union officials aligned with John Catanzara, the current FOP president, who won Graham’s spot earlier this year by defeating him in an election.
The three-year suspension also denies the ex-president his seat on the Board as Immediate Past President - which was immediately filled by Dean "Ouch, my Knee!" Angelo at the meeting following this announcement.
Not a good look while we're undergoing sensitive negotiations with a police-hating dwarf.

Since JCAT brought these charges against Graham can charges be brought against JCAT for using your union dues to fly himself and a couple of his say “yes” no matter what board members out to Middleton PA for the NATIONAL FOP endorsement?
It was the NATIONAL giving the endorsement so why is our Lodge paying for 4 guys to fly out and lodging for it? We already support that endorsement financially by sending dues money up to the National Lodge.
While we are on the money topic let’s also review the board approving up to $70,000 for the purchase of a truck for JCAT!!!! Not that much was not spent but still actually approved for that much to be spent. Fucking crazy. After three years that truck will have so many miles on it, It will be worth less than the car that Dean Angelo snaked from the Lodge on the cheap. Maybe that’s why the whole three year suspension was made, so two peas in a pod Angelo and JCAT can scam for 3 more years.

There is a lot more to this story. I was at Lincoln Middle School in Park Ridge to see my niece play soccer. I ran into one of the new trustees who told about more disturbing actions by Kevin Graham. After Catanzara was elected Graham had dinner with the superintendent. Graham offered to help be the buffer between Brown and the Union and between the union and the Mayor. He also offered to be the liaison between Brown and the mayor!
And Graham was supposed to be representing us the last three years?
Now we know how be wound up EAP and not a beat car. And we know now why he was not fired for residency. Graham is the most slimy of the swamp rats and leader of the resistance.
Catanzara is running a junta over the Lodge. Anyone who believes this was about a camera in the office is deluded. This was a scam to bring back Angelo and eliminate all opposition. Next on Catanzara's chopping block is Danny Trevino, a board member who has voted to fight for the members time and time again. After that, he will go after Martin Prieb, Pat Murray and on down the line. There is something deeply disturbing about this Catanzara. What kind of police union would vote to put a member in the position of no legal defense for three years?
Graham is either incompetent for not having his office swept on a regular basis or in collusion with someone spying on the new president.

Is this SOP at union halls? The employees at CTU send disappearing texts and go to their cars to have surveillance free phone conversations. Yes, the police abolitionists have surveillance equipment all over the Carroll Street bunker. They also have plenty of security guards yet want no security in the schools. Intimidation is rampant at Carroll street and the employees who are in the teamsters locals have had to file workplace grievances against CTU-how ironic is that? Who is running CTU? Let's see we have Richard Berg, organizer, who has a life time ban from the teamsters, Matt Luskin, organizer, who is married to an SEIU official. Luskin has a GED and is making twice what a teacher earns. NEITHER HAS EVER WORKED AT CPS! Berg makes trips to Venezuela and Cuba. WTF are we organizing when teachers and PSRPS can't even get supplies? We have at least two CTU employees who were fired by CPS and have a DNH designation which means they can not go on CPS property. Who in the hell are they helping if they are unable to go into the schools? So you get fired from CPS yet the CTU hires you? We have the Larry Suffredin and Brandon Johnson double dipping/ghost pay rolling scam. CPS has ordered the clerks into the buildings and CTU offers no direction to the clerks who are stuck in the middle of this fiasco. CTU has the balls to raise the dues yet offers no services. The Chicago education reporters are too lazy to delve deeper into the CTU machinations.
And this is what we are paying our union ( actually bargaining unit ) dues for ?
This is ridiculous, remove the camera from the office and move on. No contract for over 3 years as we all pay over inflated salaries of the top tier bargainers and the additional stipend payments to the 20 lower level Committee Representatives.
And of course we all look like fools now as the media paints us as a bunch of vindictive malcontents.
Another future lawsuit that we the members will pay for. It is my understanding that cameras were installed in the FOP because things were going missing during Grahams administration. Catanzara came in and knew nothing about the cameras. Grahams secretary testified at the hearing saying that Graham has had no access to the cameras since he lost the election. The committee comprised of Catanzara people even had a hard time finding him guilty but came back with 30-60 day suspension. The old card on the board want Graham gone so they can put their little buddy Dean back on the board and they suspend Graham three years. Bella was upstairs under both administrations and knew about the cameras but also said nothing. He sits there now and said nothing. Its sad that the new president has only been there a few months yet he is allowing the old guard to play games and cost our membership money. Maybe Dean can advise the board on how to give away duty availability for more younger guys and screw the older guys out of free health insurance. Unbelievable!!!

That isn't unusual in any union...
I hope his office, conference rooms and other sensitive areas are swept for bugs on a daily basis and right before meetings start. Hell, sweep each person that enters the meeting and don’t let them bring anything in. Phones, keys, pens, etc all left out of the room. Anything participants need for the meeting should be provided in the room. Can never be too safe; stakes are too high.

Kevin couldn’t lead a group of 6 eight year old girl scouts. Donahue is the Nancy Pelosi of FOP. Down on the Southside Donahue has several State Reps freezing out J-Cat. They are not returning FOP phone calls. Donahue is telling them he (J-Cat) will not be in office long, they (Donahue crew) plan on taking him out.
Think about renting a hotel room and finding hidden camera. What would you do to the little pervert you caught watching you? Kevin is lucky he is only got suspended.
And those voting against even giving Graham a 30 day suspension were if I got it right from my source are Dimaria, Donahue, Hauser, Quaid, Sheehan, and Trevino. That’s the FOP swamp.

Wrong! Graham put the camera in his office because the guys he appointed field reps were selling from him. Kevin got people on recordings stealing from him but never took action. He never to John so he could watch him remotely.

The Kevin Graham Camera Caper
I worked in the office for the past three years as a field
Representative . Someone stole a bill off Kevin’s Graham desk and he was told that I was the culprit . Kevin then put this camera in his ceiling and only told me about the camera when I confronted him . Everyone in the office was aware of the camera and Graham later changed the keys to the office prior to the election . There was NO AUDIO for the camera . The night of the election runoff when Catanzara won he immediately demanded he swear him in as next President of Lodge 7 . After the ceremony Catanzara demanded the keys to the building and told Kevin he could come back next week to pick up his belongings . The feed to the camera went to a server that Graham had no access to .
Graham’s secretary Kathy was aware of the camera but failed to notify the President because she felt “ it wasn’t her place to do it ! “ Kevin did make a mistake not telling him about the camera but he had no access to it !
When the camera was discovered charges were brought and Mette, Gorman and Fitzpatrick held a hearing . The recommendation was for one to three months which was rejected immediately . A vote for expulsion and a second for three years .
I’m no big Graham fan but this gives the President the opportunity to put the president before Kevin back on the Board . Welcome back Dean ! At what point do we stop attacking each other and stand together ? More time is wasted infighting than anything else ! Tough times ahead especially if Trump loses !

Believe it? Graham is quoted in the story talking about the camera. Perhaps you should do your job at the lodge, then you wouldn't have to worry about being dumped. The reputation of the lodge has been questionable since they pulled the bs on President Shields. The old school control over the lodge is always going to make us look bad. The old school thinking cost us $250.000.00 in a law suit. The Lodge is suppose to be working for the officers, but instead the lodge is working for the regime in charge. Since I have been on there has not been 1 honest hard working president that actually worked for the officers. Dineen, Nolan, Donahue, Angelo, Graham all in it for themselves and nobody else. Shields got rail roaded by part of the Donahue crew that was left behind and we see how great that worked out for us. Lets hope Catanzara is not in it for only himself. Lets hope he is actually working for us and not against us, like all the previous presidents of the Lodge. Angelo should not be able to make decisions regarding anything after the contract he got gave us under the great Rahm Emmanuel.
Read Graham’s explanation on Facebook. He admits he put the camera there during his tenure but forgot to take it out. Believe that’s called an admission. He is so full of shit. Sounds like the mopes on the street. I don’t know how that dope got in my pocket
Two years ago at a lunch dinner which featured Lori Lightfoot the Fop has purchased a table for the event because Kevin Graham was speaking . Dean Angelo was there not with the Fop but someone else had paid for him . When Lori Lightfoot walked in Dean Angelo walked up to her and gave her the biggest hug you ever seen . I was in shock but then realized that there are Fop members who work in their best interests . Do u really want this guy coming back to a Board during negotiations ? The current Board is singling our members who they feel will run against them in the next election . Fraternalism ? I think not !
Graham was disruptive during meetings due to being a sore loser.
Graham slow walked and delayed the election for his benefit.
Graham has caused great harm having the hidden camera installed in the presidents office.
Graham needs to stay away from our union as he's part of the fop swamp.

The bottom line is Donahue and crew are pissed they lost of FOP. Donahue and his minions have done the exact same thing of throwing their enemies out of the union without merit, so they do not have to face them the next election. Graham getting sent his papers is vastly different. 1.) He had a recording device in the FOP President's office, and did not tell J-Cat. 2.) Graham meets with Supt. Brown without authority to try to broker a deal for FOP. 3.) Graham delayed resolution of the contract for 3 years for political purposes. Say what you want about Dean, but at least he sent the contract for a vote with 70% of the members voting for it.
Donahue was the Capt. of a ship that has been permanently sank. It is time to give it a rest Mark. Move on to life's next voyage perhaps visiting a friend in a place like Tennessee or Florida. The weather is supposed to be much better.

Going as far back as Donahue there was Harold Brown was removed but he was never a threat to run for a higher office(that would have been work). Harold hasn't worked since he came on the job. There was the fat guy named Wayne and the smelly Irish guy that ran to the Sun Times with Union issues during an election(can't really remember what the issue was).
Then there was the Mikey Shields scandal! You know there are still policemen to this day that think Mikey got screwed. Yet if you are the police and did your homework you know that Mikey screwed us. I was a unit rep at the time and went to almost every meeting. Mikey wasn't "set up". Mikey was just out for Mikey and never sent the letter in that he told us he did at the meeting. It was Dean's people at the State Lodge that paid Mikey $100,000. Lodge 7 went to trial and the jury found Lodge 7 not guilty of the firing of Mikey and only awarded him a past president stipend because Deano wouldn't put him on the board as immediate past president, Dean brought his Buddy Bill Nolan on.
