A Survey?

Is this true? We don't check e-mail that often:

  • So the department sent out an interesting survey in our department email 02 October 20. Has to do with promotions and how fair the process is. Every read needs to respond!

We insist that everyone respond, cite Ferguson's failure to investigate widespread cheating, point out the secret study groups and political favoritism and the fact that anyone even attempting to be legit is competing for less than 50% of the available spots (20-to-30% "merit," 20-to-30% cheaters).

Then point out the damage these morons are doing to the Department. Name names if you got 'em.

Every year that goes by in this Department only confirms how it is structurally back sliding. Shortshanks had a term “excellence through diversity” during his hiring and promotional exams. It was the beginning of the end for the Department that continues to this day.

Everything demoRats touch they destroy.

Don't forget to mention that the head investigator from IAD, Mike Bars, was rewarded with numerous merit bumps (most recently to commander) for ignoring and burying his findings.

Haven’t checked my email in years. Not about to start. It’s not going to matter anyways. They’re still going to promote (and over-promote) whomever they want. Been on 28yrs and nothing has changed in that time. 2.5 to go, but who’s counting....

This is true. I suggested that 70% be the passing score and that they drop part two because it’s subjective. 3 candidates with different answers can score high. What if my grader is most lenient than yours? Scantron scores are raw.

This is probably just a requirement of the fake consent decree.

Heard that the former get down Ernie Brown little Dolly Wines got her ass chewed out by a 10 year sergeant because she don’t know what The Fuck she’s doing and then she had a melt down. It’s evident that she cheated on the Lt test and never worked the street because she can’t make a decision and the tact sergeant had to step in and save her ass.
Can someone confirm that now she’s Get Down Texas RideEm David Brown? There’s a lot of phone play and secret meetings between the two. Don’t these clowns know that cameras are everywhere in this city? I guess it pays to be a cheater, even if you have to pay the ultimate price to get it. This is going to be interesting, where’s Mrs Country Bunker Brown did he pack her up and send her back home?

There is no reason to have to wait for your score. The answer sheet should be scanned and graded upon turning it in. This is the age of computers.

I commented that the City can drop merit (is it still dropped? no matter it will be reinstated upon the first lawsuit) by fighting Title VII accusations of racial disparity by defending the test as predictive of future job performance.

How about the k9 list. 4 just got promoted from the patrol list to explosives k9 positions because they ran out of people on the explosives list. There was a seperate application for both job titles and lists. Anyone whose name didnt even make it on the list from the 100 interviewees should sue now! All because Carter had fair warning and was to lazy to organize a test!

You are living in a democrat city and democrat state and a liberal left wing cop hating mayor. Everything is and has been for over 20 years all about politics, racial identity, cronyism and nepotism. Now they have added white supremacy and white privilege's to the mix. Nothing about competence and or job knowledge or just plain old fairness and getting the best people possible. I find it very ironic that these " subject matter experts" that are helping write future examinations never passed a job related examination in the first place. Then these " leaders" get their hands on a copy of the test and use it to coach their girlfriends and wives .

Everything is dependent on that survey.
Fairness is another colloquially colonial term anyway.

If the Dept or City has to ask, it shows its head was up its ass for almost 40 years.

I responded to it knowing that it doesn’t matter. The department doesn’t actually give a shit what we think, they just do it so they can say our opinions were taken into consideration when making the decision. Do we really think anyone is sitting down and reading these?

I will tell them the defincencies in their scheme when they tell me how they do it. Telling them anything at this point is like being a double agent. Besides, they are not stupid. They already know where they need to tighten their cheating process. This is just one of those bullshit "make them feel better" exercises, but in reality it is just a waste of our time and effort. Or, it is to help someone obtain an advanced degree. One thing is for sure; it is not designed to assist us in any manner, shape or form.

remember a time --maybe 8 or 9 years ago- when downtown mandated everyone sign on once a shift--but FIRST was the initial mandate of actually signing on to email ---which was ridiculous--at least now (perhaps) everyone uses email in their personal life, back then it was days of chasing coppers to sit down at the desk so someone could hold their hand and walk them through the steps ...and yes after the initial sign on- there were the who never checked again.
Honestly- malcontent/incompetent folks should be addressed---lets see department run a check of email sign ons and folllow up on this who "never check".

How many current command staff scored under 70% to get promoted to detective , sergeant and lieutenant ?
Now the bar for sergeant has been lowered to a score of 50% . What other professions allow a score of 50% to be considered a passing score , CDL drivers of Trucks , CDL drivers of School Bus , CTU teachers , Nurses , Lawyers , Doctors , Pharmacists , Pharmacy technicians , teacher assistant , Breathalyzer operators , Firefighters , Police Officer ?
Is the Federal Consent Decree Monitor , ACLU , BGA , John Kass , Chuck Goudie , how about Fox News or CNN .
This is very dangerous to the Citizens of Chicago and Police Officers being Supervised by these Merit Political Stupervisor Sergeant

I took one test years ago, for Sgt I think, that Arthur Anderson administered. We were given the test results right away, as they ran it thru the Scantron machine. I scored well. This last detective test, I scored ok, but I would have liked the results right away. If nothing else, if you know what you got wrong, you can learn from that.

The corrupt democratic of Chicago has a totally unholy promotion system. The city needs to completely collapse in order for the police promotional system to be honest. I can no longer handle f/1 sergeants that can't write and mouth off to citizens being paid big money while constantly abusing the medical policy.
