A veteran police lieutenant was reassigned last week after a one-day trip to Chicago by Attorney General William Barr caught Chicago Police Department leadership and the mayor’s office by surprise.
Sources told the Chicago Sun-Times that Lt. Patrick Quinn was pulled from his position in the Crime Prevention and Information Center in police headquarters and sent to the Rogers Park District on the North Side after Mayor Lori Lightfoot and CPD brass learned of Barr’s visit during a conference call Nov. 17 — just a day before Barr, the nation’s top law enforcement officer, was scheduled to arrive in Chicago.
Quinn could not be reached Tuesday and representatives for the CPD lieutenant’s union did not respond to inquiries. Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s office referred questions to the CPD, which declined to comment on Quinn’s move.
“All personnel decisions are made by the Chicago Police Department Superintendent and his leadership team,” mayoral spokesman Pat Mullane said.
It would only have been funnier if Barr made it in and out of town without CPD even knowing about it.
The report says he didn't meet with any of the local federal prosecutions team, so no one knows what's up....and that makes Groot's people nervous.

The last paragraph in the Times tells a lot. Do you think those CPD officials declined on their own to join the Attorney General of the United States or were they forbidden by Mayor Lightfoot. She shunned Barr and also shunned the President of the United States, Donald Trump on his visit (the FOP President went to meet him at the airport) to Chicago.
So she is mad that Trump has pointed what is really going on with the violence in Chicago and other big cities controlled by Democrat Machines and is not going to cooperate even though Trump had offered help to her. This shows that to her, partisan politics is more important than saving lives and attacking this lingering plague in the city.
So why make a scapegoat of this lieutenant because she was informed the day before Barr’s arrival? It’s not like she was going out to greet him. Was it not enough time to get her PR department moving on this if Barr was going to make a public statement or maybe not enough time to get her spys out to see what Barr is up to? Could he be here gathering information on election fraud, time will tell! She owes the public an explanation. Do you think any of our wimpy reporters will question her about this?

Did it ever occur to you that there haven’t been any indictments of known political criminals, including Clinton and Obama, because Obama wrote scads of Presidential Pardons before he left office?
Can you explain why there are over 200,000 sealed indictments in the federal system? There are on average at the highest, 1500. Something is going on and whatever it is will break before January 20, 2021.

Sadly I tend to agree. What have we seen: endless stories about how they have to get it right. Endless stories about timing, etc. Yet, I produce more used TP in a day than anything that's happened since he was appointed. We've seen 1 guy plead guilty. Where's the feds on the election fraud? Where are the sealed indictments? How can we look them up? I've been hearing about sealed indictments since MARCH and nothing has happened.

PQ's work load will be picked up by the Sgt's until a new Lt gets put in place and figures out the playbook. I've seen several Lt's get dumped from the DOC/CPIC and the next day everything keeps on moving along. The CPD will recover. It's also nice to see someone who thinks themselves irreplaceable, replaced.

What you have to look at is the police budget. Sometimes you will find these positions that have unique titles are budgeted in for a higher salary.
I just heard they are demoting the Commander also.
