Was talking to a guy in the first deputies office over a few “sodas” today at a district outing. January 7th which is the start of the first period 22 POs will be going back to the watches from the tact teams. Mission teams dissolved and three tact teams per district with only 8 POs per team. So no more robbery/burglary/mission teams. Only 61,62 and 63 teams. After that districts will be reevaluated throughout the first quarter of the year where they will determine if certain districts need tact teams at all or if they need all three tact teams. No matter what, the most a district can have will be 25 POs assigned to tac, three 8 man teams and one tac secretary. So if you work in 011,007,006 etc where there are 64,65,67 and 06 teams assigned to tac those are going to the wayside. This city is going to BURN! I have a feeling the department will regret this in short time. The order is gonna hit as a nice Christmas gift mid December.... conveniently right after watch and furlough pics where these POs and sgts can be placed at the commanders discretion.

Did the detail staff notify Operations Command that Car 1 is leaving the City? Did they notify Skokie/Lincolnwood Dispatch that a dignitary would be in their jurisdiction? 401Ks came back over time, as these things always do. As far as the collapse of home equity, that was not so good for those who thought buying a home is a great way to invest your money, instead of buying a place to live. Home equity/prices were going up so fast that very few people would be able to even buy a home in a decent area. I did not see that as a bad thing because I wanted my children to be able to purchase a home which was fast becoming impossible.

It is in Springfield. No NRA discount and their prices are high. They sometimes have used guns. They also have an indoor Ferris wheel, probably a million bucks worth of taxidermy and a huge aquarium. Heard one from Baton Rouge. Criminal goes in business robs, shoots and kills employee, an unknown person shoots and kills criminal. He left the scene before cops arrived. BRPD calls that person a "Good Samaritan", and they are right. BRPD Deputy Chief Troy Lawrence said the second suspected shooter "did an awesome job" when he took down the robber/killer. Certainly Moondoggie wouldn't be saying anything like that. He would get 100 lashes from Larry. Defund the police and we'll be seeing more of that. Their guns and ammo dept was the lowest preforming department at pretty much every store. They were going to cut that department any way. The stores make majority of their profits from appeal sales and the guns and ammo sales area and back stock was taking up space they could use for more profitable products. They just got lucky with Parkside HS shooting ng that they could make the announcement and have it looks like a socially motivated decision rather than admit to the public and shareholders they were underperforming. Fair point--I always thought of Dick's as more of a baseball/golf/etc. store--but if they're going to pander to leftists with messaging like that then they should expect blowback from non-leftists. I would go so far as to say that non-leftists *must* engage in that sort of economic warfare to counterbalance the other side; not doing so is how we got into a situation where the corporate system is openly giving lots of money to agitator groups like BLM, because they know the leftists will boycott them if they don't do it but non-lefists will keep buying their stuff either way.

OT: Not a LEO but one of my best friends is, he's been a cop in Cincinnati for 20+ years. Like a lot of you guys, he's been through hell on the job but never quit. All he ever wanted to do was catch bad guys. He's a little over 2 years from retirement and has been counting the days.
A couple of months back he had a seizure then an MRI to find out why and they found a brain tumor. He had radiation and chemo. A couple of weeks back he took a turn for the worse. After another MRI the local doctors told him there was nothing left they could do and referred him to Cleveland Clinic for a clinical trial. They told him that best case, he had one, maybe two years left.

401Ks came back over time, as these things always do. As far as the collapse of home equity, that was not so good for those who thought buying a home is a great way to invest your money, instead of buying a place to live. Home equity/prices were going up so fast that very few people would be able to even buy a home in a decent area. I did not see that as a bad thing because I wanted my children to be able to purchase a home which was fast becoming impossible.

I hope the retailers in the city, but especially the boarded up ones downtown; take note of this Mayors utter disregard for them. Maybe we should all follow the Mayors example and shop in the suburbs and let the Chicago retailers die off.
We are going down a slippery slope with this COVID. The whole idea is to get the people to willingly give up their rights. More government, more control. Very OT - Among the things I am grateful for this Thanksgiving is police officers who have protected me and my different neighborhoods my whole life. I lived in a suburb when my Mom was in her elderly years and sometimes we had to call an ambulance for her. In this suburb, cops had to accompany every call. I am sure it was not high on their list of calls - but they showed up every time and were so very nice to her, and every time no matter what time it looked like their uniforms were brand new. Sorry for my little civilian story but just wanted to say Thank you for the big and small things you do every day - and Happy Thanksgiving.

From working in the trenches, I can tell you that 50% is closer to the true figure. 50% kiss ass so that they can keep their spots.
