As top heavy as this Department is with straight line supervision and duplicated administration, Groot is going to add a Deputy Chief and three Commanders? What the actual fuck?

More chiefs, fewer Indians, in an already top-heavy operation. Very bad management.
Captains... wtf. How are they still pulling the wool over the city’s eyes. How were they not the first of the most useless supervisor ranks to be slashed. Absolutely amazing. $160,000 a year to do.... um, I don’t even know what they do.

I hope they renegotiate the comp time percentage allowed per day. You’ll never get a day off if they keep cutting like that.

First of all someone is sitting on their as doing nothing if the Commander and Lieutenants can’t handle the BS, replace them

Better plan on adding more officers. Many of the young guys I talk to are looking elsewhere for employment and are no way going to be lifers like when I came on. Not enough sgts to meet the consent decree supervisor to officer requirement.
How is Sabi Kahn aka Mr Charts a DC raking in 170k? OR Sarah I know Maurice Too, now making more than a Sgt. After 1 year at her first job from college. Looks like licking the former Dir. Of strategy ass gets all what you need. No need to produce. Its sickening.
So we have 10 Forensic Investigators currently budgeted, 5 spots currently open and they’re goin to cut those 5 spots thereby cutting the Forensic Investigator spot in half??? Let see the murder rate let alone shootings is through the roof and the clearance rate is in the toilet but hey let’s save a couple of bucks versus trying to solve any real crime!!!
This department is ass backward. Moves like that show they really don’t care about solving any crime.
How can they cut 31 Sergeants from the ranks. They’re pushing this consent decree down our throat which clearly states they need more front line supervisors but they’re cutting 31 spots. Must be the new math.

Maybe my brain is still sleeping but doesn't it say "current vacancies" (652) for 2020. Then they want to cut more spots down an additional 447? Which really relates to a total of 1099 P.O.'s short. All without next years huge wave a retirements coming. Thanks Hairy

It's all based on magic numbers. Move a few here, move a few there and decrease the front line officers. All those recent and soon to retire officers, their positions will not be backfilled and will remain vacant. The rank and file will provide the basic service and nothing more. Citizens will learn how to secure their persons and property. Either thru victimization or self defense.
No reasonable citizen has any faith in the corrupt Democrat Socialist system of Crook County Criminal Justice, no faith in Kim Fux or Tim Evans and his gang of Black Robes. As the criminal gangs become more bolder and aggressive more businesses and residents will move out and Chicago will a mid-west ghetto. All under Groot, the destroyer of the city formally know as Chicago. Her legacy will be remembered as corrupt, inept, miserable, mismanaged, crime ridden and bankrupt. She will make Daley and Rahm look almost smart.

Read the bottom. Any job title code not listed will not have a change in the number budgeted.
What about title code 9160 security specialist the mayor the city treasurer the city clerk have so many on their details making Sgt pay my sergeants pensions, unlimited overtime extra uniform checks, brand new police vehicles the city treasurer of the city clerk are are always out hiding along with the mayor what the hell is she doing having a Halloween party guess there is no virus or does she have the antidote along with the rest of the Democrats seems like they’re not getting sick and why not none of them are dying from the virus why not? What about all the protesters I should say the terrorists are they in the hospital dying from all this? The virus is Weaponized without a doubt!

They were out there all summer too.
Who exactly are they supposed to be helping with “passage” if the schools have been closed all year, and classes are via zoom at home?

Relax khan is not making 170k he’s making 140k as a director which is still high for someone’s who’s sole job is to create charts and for something a college intern can do. Boyle is making 115k which is about the same as a sgt in the lower scale but still a lot for someone with a geography degree

It’s corruption, waste and mismanagement. Lightfoot also pays security officers to sit in schools without kids. And the media never asks her why? This is one of the many reasons she’s a disaster for Chicago’s future.

Lightfoot picks and chooses what should be followed in the consent decree hoax. We never should have entered into anyway. Rahm did it. CPD Officers have been doing an incredible job statistically considering the incredible about of violence they’re exposed to over the many years.
