So....No Scandal?
That scandal that wasn't.....still isn't:
- While hundreds of migrants remain at Chicago police stations, the 10th District in North Lawndale has been quiet. Asylum-seekers were cleared out after an allegation of sexual misconduct was reported to the Civilian of Police Accountability, known as COPA, on July 6.
"The allegation involved a specific officer, accused him of sexual contact with an unidentified underage female migrant, and indicated several other unidentified officers from 10th District may also have engaged in similar misconduct," said COPA Chief Administrator Andrea Kersten.
After an almost two-week investigation, Kersten said, so far, the allegations are unsubstantiated.
"To be very clear, we have not identified any individual migrant claiming to have direct knowledge or be the victim of any form of sexual misconduct by a member of the Chicago Police Department," Kersten said.
You'll recall that back on 09 July, we received information that this entire incident was the falsified construction of a vengeful ex against a police officer. That isn't to say that COPA shouldn't investigate wrongdoing, but shows beyond any scintilla of doubt that the Sworn Affidavit provided necessary protections to Officers' due process rights.
Now it appears that a couple of media outlets ran with this allegation AND posted the officer's name somewhere in their reporting. Bad idea. Kyle Rittenhouse received a number of seven-figure settlements from media outlets for broadcasting his name after he defended himself. Nicholas Sandman received a couple of rumored eight-figure settlements.
This officer might be in line for a big payday eventually. Too bad the ex isn't in line for a few years in prison.

Copper needs a competent mouthpiece to immediately pursue preservation orders on the electronic communications of all COPA and BIA investigators involved.
A FOIA request or 3 of mayor BJs emails to and from these same COPA and BIA individuals and the CPD Brassholes who inserted themselves into this non story would also likely bear fruit.
I called bullshit on this from Day One. This copper needs to be made whole. Hopefully one of those asshole “community organizers” who stood in front of 010, pointing the finger of guilt without a shred of evidence, belongs to a group with assets to seize.

Saw the presser spearheaded by COPA Andrea Kersten and it appeared to me, she has a certain disdain for CPD and vows to continue in the meritless investigation. Kersten was so disappointed! Her request for anyone with information sounds like she’s doing so-as if planting the seed for others to file a complaint resulting in a possible City payout. I don’t trust this woman’s sincerity. I don’t trust COPA.

Use this situation to your advantage, OFFICE. You now suffer from PTSD, have emotional distress, loss of apatite, and your reputation is ruined etc etc. Your lawyer will guide you through it. Immediately hit the Medical for a year then apply for disability or work out a easy inside spot where you’ll work 2 hours a day and disappear. Not callback.

COPA Civilian Office of Police Accountability where is the Civilian Office of Peacekeeper Accountability that's one scandal right there; $30 million dollars worth and counting to a proxy law enforcement operation with no body cams, no contact reporting, potential civil rights violators with zero accountability.

If IAD is involved the case will stay open for ever. Total useless group. With little involvement I have seen with them I wouldn’t get involved or talk to them.

They are ILLEGAL ALIENS. Trespassing in MY (YOUR) country. Consuming resources that should be going to OUR CITIZENS (homeless veterans, sick and infirm elderly and those who immigrated here LEGALLY, to name a few).
In case you haven’t noticed, most of these “poor and destitute” folks just “escaping the blight and poverty of their homeland” arrived here with designer clothing and shoes and most lounge around all day glued to their smartphones. I guess they picked up all these “necessities” somewhere along their 2,000 mile trek through the jungles and deserts on the way here? Yes, some of this swag was provided by guilty liberals after their arrival, but in no way are these parasites completely destitute.
Remember, it’s YOUR tax dollars sustaining their existence. The spirit of the Crook lives and no doubt still haunts so just be aware.

I never understood why Groot objected to the sworn affidavit law. Well, I guess I do.
She wanted a lot of misconduct allegations against department members to make them appear guilty and out of control so the civil rights lawyers could easily cash in.
But anonymous complaints are a significant drain on resources. EVERY one must be investigated, taking money and time that could be used to investigate real problems. And it increases payouts. Which Groot approves of. As CEO of Chicago her first duty is to protect the financial interests of the city.
Bring back Sgt P C to run 050…….ran the place and was fair.

Feel horrible for the family if that cop from 019 that died on ATV, but was 100% avoidable if he wasn’t knowingly fleeing with his fellow officers in chase, and not even knowing that he was CPD until he was dead. Cant confirm at this time , but I guarantee he had a short amount of time on the job and wouldn’t have even been on job if our hiring standards were the same as they were 5 + years ago. Just a bad situation across the board. Wtf fuck is the deal with these cops fleeing other cops that would probably have given them a break anyway. Only criminals flee the police. Sorry, but had to be said. Just totally avoidable.

Yes it’s true. Incident happened in 024. Kept taunting police running on park grounds etc. ID was recovered from body at crash. Hired in 2018.

John Catanzara has been interviewed regarding this blasphemy on Television Channels 2, 5, 7, 9, 32 and Telemundo. Just because he has not personally arrived at your home and given an update to you does not mean he has not publicly and repeatedly spoken out against these unsubstantiated allegations.
